If you have a gmail account, go into that, click on the Grid of Nine at the upper right, then Drive, then "Shared with Me" from the menu on the left. Either click on "CCBA Punch List" or use the search feature at the top to find it (depending on how cluttered your Drive is!). Most of us (possibly not all) should have access.

I took @breld ’s advice and ordered the extension armrest and then also some all weather mats. The price for both ordering from one of the dealers selling discount accessories was less than my store wanted for the armrest alone. Should be here next week.

Next up is to decide what I want to do for tires. Came with Dunlop summer rubber. Do I get dedicated snows or go all season?

I never knew that was there. Of course I almost never log into my actual gmail account. I just use it through the mail program on the PC/Phone. I have created a do and gotten others shared that I just get to using a link. Had a lot I never realized were ever shared with me.

depends if you want to buy wheels with them. Steelies would look fine on that car! though more likely cheap alloys.

Mine was unfortunately the early model with the pushrod 3.8 that was crippled by a slippy transmission. Two different dealers took it out and supposedly repaired it which never worked. When I got the chance to trade it in, I took it.

    2024 model year

I find it funny that you included my nephew's purchase of his 4Runner, all those years ago. My sisters family have bought a couple more vehicles since then, over the years.

(her 2019 XC40 was bought in 2022, for example, and my youngest nephew bought a Kia Forte not that long ago)

Both. Either you are in or you are out😎

I’d probably go all seasons since some of the new ones are very good in snow. Unless we are talking @xwesx amounts of snow and then we need the mountain stamp.

I can get a set of continentals DWS or Pilot AS4s for 800 plus tax installed.

Or I can buy a set of winter wheels and tires someone is selling on marketplace for about $600 but then have to deal with swapping.

I might occasionally go up to the mountains skiing with it, but will prob use the Q5 for that.

Our 2018 Lacrosse was a sweet ride. The seats actually had padding under the leather. With the 3.6 the 0-60 was 5.6 secs and my best mileage over 25 miles on a road trip was 44mpg on regular gas. It was very reliable over the 5 years we had it although it departed with only 40K miles. I actually considered a fully loaded fully loaded premium model of the same year on Carvana with only 20K miles. They were asking $27K for it but it was gone within a week.

I will be retiring soon and will be giving up the trusty old Silverado work truck and will be looking for my own ride. My investigations have included the Genesis G70 and the Cadillac CT5. Used of course.

True, but when the Seattle area gets weather, it's of the worst sort! I'd at least go all-season with the three-peak symbol. I really do like my Geolandar ATs, and I think the General Grabber is also available in stock WRX sizes. With the traffic t hat @28firefighter faces daily anyway, why would he need anything ultra-high-performance? :D

The daughter has been busy accessorizing the new Sportage.

I've seen a fancy license plate frame, and a matching document holder.

Then, she got some fancy extension for the rear of the center console to create two additional cup holders - the ones in the center console aren't big enough for some of the containers they use, and this extension allows them to bring their extra big mugs. Plug 'n' play, I'm told. I'll try to get a pic if I remember.

I asked my wife if she's been driving any different to maximize the battery. Apparently not - and, the wife likes all the safety nannies so she doesn't have to correct her offspring when they are in the car together.

Good suggestions...I have the following options:
    (1) Bridgestone Potenza RE980 AS+ (I had these on the BMW and loved them) - $725 + tax and install

    (3) Continental DWS06 - $800 + tax
    (4) Vredstein Hypertrac - $850+ tax

Tire Rack's comparison test of those four gave a slight edge to the Contis in dry and wet conditions (the other three were almost tied), and it looks like they were about equal in snow. That said, if you loved the Bridgestones, and they are the cheapest, I'd probably give them the nod. Do you think they might go on sale at a lower price if you wait until Black Friday?

As the A7 is at 4 and 6/32, tires entered my world today. I'll shop the same suspects as you 28ff. Of course, I'm jealous of the costs for the Subie, for the Audi a bit dearer. And Costco and BJs really only give me the option of the Michelin Pilot AS4.

Tire Rack, of course, a wider variety, most of the same from your menu. Perhaps because they are also of the fatherland, I'm leaning towards the Conti DWS 06. And the highest rated installer through Tire Rack in my area is a Monro muffler shop, cheapest too!

I should pull my dash video of last night. I spent about 2.5 hours only a half mile from my house in order to deal with vehicles in the ditch and a backup of traffic on a steep hill in my neighborhood. Eventually, we got the cars out of the way enough that we were able to get all the backed up traffic cleared, then I recovered one of the cars. I could have done the other, too, but the owners had left when the tow truck decided that conditions were too treacherous and they just abandoned the stranded motorists.

It was quite a night! To top it off, my wife was mad at me when I arrived home so late because I didn't call. Darn forgetfulness! :D

I'll be honest: I've written off Continental at this point. I've tried three sets of tires from them, and none of them stood out in any way. I like to like my tires if I am going to spend so much on them and be stuck using them for a few years, and Conti does nothing but disappoint me.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Pilot AS4, but I've never used them.

Aye, of the three authorized installers, two were mobile. And 2x+ more expensive than Monro. But we're talking <$200.
But something to be said for the services at BJs Costco or local tire guys.

And actually, the Costco tires are the Pilot Sport A/S Plus. A bit more expensive.
