Yes, as stated in my initial question, that was my intention. Only adding 2-3k miles TOTAL for the entire lease. Thus, a 12k/yr or 36k lease would be 38-39k total.

Yes, as stated in my initial question, that was my intention. Only adding 2-3k miles TOTAL for the entire lease. Thus, a 12k/yr or 36k lease would be 38-39k total.

So your choice is to

1. Go with 12k per year and pay the mileage penalty at the end
2. Bump up to the 15k residual

One thing to consider ... life has a funny way of throwing you a curve. I've seen lots of folks who go with a low mileage lease, then then work or life circumstances change and they go way over - 10, 20k or more.

looking again to get a rough monthly payment idea on the following. XT5 FWD standard. MSRP 41585 after destination, sale price is 36259 after discounts and rebates. Sales tax is 8% applied monthly here. Assume base MF and then the applicable residual for 36/12. What would I be looking at? Thanks in advance guys. Much appreciated!

Thanks for the info! Am I doing my math wrong? Using your formula I get a depreciation amount of 13803 then a base payment of 383 plus the small rent fee then plus tax. Am I off?

No... you are right, and my numbers were wrong. I must have input a wrong number.

$384/mo.+8% tax = $415/mo.
