It's a bobblehead, but a vintage one contemporary to the car. Something I put in the car shortly after I bought it, and it has been there for 20+ years now.
It's probably just around the time that random bits of that interior will start to break off and dissolve. A low point for the brand and certainly reasons for its eventual demise
That looks WAY underpriced, given how older Japanese cars (especially those with some character, like this one) have gone up in price. And this one looks to be in great condition.
Yeah, no way that is still around, unless it has a big hidden issue. I was almost tempted to inquire about it, I remember those were new when I was a smallish kid - a teacher I wasn't very fond of had one.
If I had more storage and spare funds, I could see an oddball Japanese car entering the family. These are on the cusp of being special interest cars.

I'd maybe buy an otherwise unmolested CRX with a Type R engine swap.

A mint original wedge Supra or Marty McFly Toyota pickup would be cool. I also like some older things, like Toyota Crown, Mazda Cosmo, that Sapporo I posted weeks ago.

They made a beer into a car name? I'm actually happy with my current fun car. I would just like a better daily driver when my lease is up (if I can wait that long).

I could have sworn I posted the link to that Sapporo.
LOL! It's a "multi-car replica" apparently, which in former times you used to call a "mess".
Ah, the fit and finish. The beautifully crafted interior exudes luxury, using only the finest materials. The engine bay speaks with authority and visually demands it, with the impressive flat black spray-can valve covers and the high-tech clothes dryer induction tube.
That is an impressive amount of damage. Was it dropped into an active volcano? I have to wonder what in the world they think they are selling. Is there really any use for metallic ash?

That's what it reads like to me. I think back around the turn of the century, RHD conversions were a thing among the fast 'n furious set. I've seen it on a number of Civics and 240SX.
Man, that blue interior alone is worth $7500. The rest of the car is free. Buy it!
I don't understand on the 993 - what's not to like? Looks good to me as it should for that asking price. I notice the seller did not state a model year or did I miss that?
I know those final-gen Supras are becoming very collectible but I do not get it. Most are modded and worse off for it, IMO. I don't know if I have ever seen one as it rolled off the boat.
That SL was possibly a special order in that color combo. A blue on blue car like that, which cost about 120K new - in 1993 dollars - probably wasn't a normal car sitting on a lot. I also see the seller is trying to make it look newer, by calling it a SL600 (the letters didn't come first until MY 1994).
I have talked to more than one Porsche person who clearly didn't like Targas. Maybe they want to pretend to be in a track car as they are stuck in gridlock with everyone else. I think that style of Targa is unique and pretty modern, and maybe more enjoyable than a normal coupe. Model year is in the spec section at right, 1996.
Those Supras were fairly expensive when new, but closer to attainable dream cars for people roughly in my age demographic. They never really got cheap. So many have been ruined and modified, that it makes survivors more desirable. If there's one non-exotic from that era I would hold and maybe eke a profit in 20 years, it would be one of those.
I'd want a rare paint color though, like this blue. I remember seeing this in a brochure back in the day, and always remembered it:
"Some small items need attention" -- man, that's a scary sentence. OK, super nice one maybe same as coupe above, a bit less, so $6K minus "small items".
Stopped by the auto auction this morning, not a fancy late model affair, but a lot of abandoned or donated vehicles, a "project car" heaven (or maybe the hotter place). Highlights,
Surprise was this very cool 68 Squire. It wasn't in the auction ad, and was sitting to the side - it still had donation paperwork on the front seat. Lots of cosmetic patina with just a little surface rust, but no bubbling or anything close to a rust hole. This car will probably be saved - not feasible to fully restore, but someone could do it as a labor of love, or resto-mod it. Way too decent to scrap. Blue on white, this was a sharp car when new. I like the hidden headlights:
I stopped by this morning to check out the MB selection, which was larger than normal. Mostly neglected old barges far beyond redemption, but a W201 looked interesting. Early (84) car, advertised as a 5-speed, in great colors, and looked nice. Of course, it was an automatic (this pic and all others from the listing):
I suspect this was a repaint, as it was just a little too nice for an indicated 225K. But a quality job, I couldn't find seams, and it matched the original color. Blue green on beige is a great color combo. This car had been cared for - it had the original service book with tons of entries, including years of mpg data by the original owner. Interior was fairly immaculate, too. Still a decent little car, even though Shifty hates the 2.3.
Also of note in the rarity dept, this Audi Fox, far from immaculate:
Late run Nova looked decent enough:
Big old grandpa truck was also pretty decent for a 42 year old rig. It had factory cruise, which has to be rare:
The other stuff there was as expected - numerous turn of the century Audis, some old Volvos, a 2003-4 Range Rover, miled up Honyotas, turn of the century domestics - lots of beaters to last someone 6 months, but nothing else of special interest.
Good eye, Fin. That '68 Country Squire would be expensive and difficult to restore, too bad it appears to need most everything as it would be a cool car in better condition. I like that Ford pickup.
Sure. An alternator, new hydraulics for the top, new catalytic converter----no problem:
1. Open wallet 2. Remove large fistfuls of money 3. Throw at car until it runs right.
Alternate Reality: Alternator is probably just a fuse. Catalytic can be cleaned by pouring a can of "cat-clean" into your gas tank; top is just low on fluid--small jar for $5.

I always wonder when an ad says "just a $25 part" why they don't just spend the $25?
Don't answer, I know why.

Those were very popular here in the '80s but of course all biodegraded in 10-15 years up here.

Definitely a lot of GM parts in there.
And talk about a roomy interior!

Period dream car (for me), "bullet proof windows" and no mileage stated make the "fair price" not too high
"Small items need attention" LOLOL, but a perfect one would be something
This would eat you alive, but man, that blue interior, they don't make em like that anymore
A unicorn in stock form, the people who modded these like this will come to regret it
