Also, do you think the already good MF and residual for the Forester will get even better for November and December? I checked the numbers from last year and it didn't get this good until December 2015 for the 2016 Forester. My wife and I can wait on picking one up since she's not giving birth to our first child until January. Thank you!

I second the question here about residuals getting better later in the year. Is this something that typically happens with Subarus? Thanks.

Residuals rarely go up, as the year progresses.

It all makes sense now, I didn't know they could do that, but thought he might be up to something. Shortly after my previous post here I told him the rate should be .00085 and I wasn't willing to sign for anything higher than that. He told me he had made a mistake and looked at the rate sheet wrong, then quickly adjusted it to .00085 where it should be. This has all been over the phone.

Everything else (so far) has been very straightforward and pleasant so I plan on going back tomorrow to close the deal, of course if all the numbers are where they should be!

If that is the Touring model for 36/12, then those numbers are correct.

selling cost 26786 with 595 aq fee added in for a cap cost of 27380
with a 66% RV and a MF of .00095 (in CT the sales tax is on the monthly payment)
he is quoting 284 a month (which seems less than I come up with at 292.72)

My due at signing would be the first month plus a 499 doc fee and 175 for DMV or 958

36 months /12K

After my research, 2.5 premium and 2.0 xt premium seems both might fit the goal (2.0 XT has higher residual value and maybe easier to negotiate MSRP ?)

Is there a 24/10k option, or 24/75k, or have to at least 36mo? Is there 36/75k?

May I have the MF and residual numbers for those two trims, with these light-use lease terms?

2.5 Prem: .00095 MF and 67% residual for 36/10
2.0 XT Prem: .00085 MF and 69% residual for 36/10.

24 month terms are not competitive. No 7.5K/yr available.

I think the higher price of the XT will more than offset the higher residual, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
