If you are at all interested in the car, go in a make an offer; the amount YOU want to pay. (But be ready to buy it if he says yes.)
This is a clean and well done site. Kudos to Hyundai! Azera should do well here.

Anyone else have this problem or know how I can fix it here?
Thanks for the info. They did a good job with the site but it still lacks details such as available colors. Looking forward to when they get the Azera up on their main site. I tried to get a brochure at a dealership this AM but they were not available yet? The employees seemed excited about the Azera.
I've sat in the Azera and while it is very nice from the inside, the exterior is very plain and anonymous. White is even worse as mostly all cars in my area are in white.
I wish Hyundai had did something a bit cooler with the styling, like the way the 300 is.
Anyway it's still a fine car. My advice on the color - get maroon or black. It looks better that way.
* Same standard audio system as on the $11,000 Accent (172-watt, six-speaker MP3), even on the Limited. Maybe the speakers are better at least.
* No mention of XM radio. The upgrade system is a 315-watt, 10-speaker Infinity 6-disc changer.
* No mention of navigation as an option.
The SE trim does seem pretty well equipped, with the exception of that wimpy audio system and no floor mats (on a $25k car, c'mon, guys!). At least all the safety stuff including 8 airbags is standard. The Limited package is not that impressive to me. I could live without the 17" wheels (16" on SE), leather, heated front seats (available on SE), electroluminescent gauges, rear sunshade, woodgrain steering wheel (never liked those) and door pulls, and chrome trim on the bumpers. At least the Limited does come with floor mats!
A lot of the neat features are available only as options, e.g. power-folding mirrors, rain-sensing wipers (but I have that on my Elantras--I sense that rain is falling and turn on the wipers), a nice stereo, power adjustable pedals and wheel. But I do like the fact that even the Limited can be had without a moonroof, for those who don't need that feature.
Styling-wise, I really like the rear and side views, but the front is at best inoffensive. At least they changed the grille from that hideous chrome-ringed thing on earlier photos. Now that was hideous.
What is intriguing about the Azera is that with a decent set of rebates, say around $3000 combined, and a reasonable discount you are under $20k for the base SE--that's a lot of car for that kind of money. Of course, it will take awhile for those kinds of rebates and discounts to show up. But I think they will, since right now there would be about a $8000+ difference between a fully-rebated Sonata GLS V6 and the Azera SE--too big a difference for what you get in the Azera, IMO.
According to Business Week the success of the Azera will determine if they go forward with this strategy.
Also, I just noticed that, according to the brochure, there is no "seek" function on the stereo controls on the steering wheel! I thought maybe Hyundai would have learned a lesson from the complaints about the lack of that feature on the '06 Sonata. Guess not. (I notice that the '07 Santa Fe has this feature, at least. Also IMO a far nicer-looking dash than the Azera has.)
Well so if any of you out there want to buy it no matter what the dealers should know what they are getting color and package wise. This is just the first shipment so we'll see what else comes. Hope this was helpfull.
Do you always sell these guys at MSRP or perhaps a littlemovr invoice price? Let me know.
Can you lease it 36 Mo below MSRP for under $300/mo?

Tell me, does the Azera come with black leather?
Aloha,
Mic
Lol, I live in Kuwait, not the US.
i even wrote the ceo last august about owning three and wanting a fourth and got a real "i don't need you response"
from his administrator. where the cockiness comes from is beyond me.
the dealership called me today to say they just got invoiced for 1 (one) azera. no idea about the color or package but they should see it soon. i was also told that they will have a 1k owners loyalty coupon and a $299 27 month lease with 2925 due at signing with some dealer marketing support thrown in and nothing else for buying incentives.
the sonata looks more tempting but the 2001 that i own is not worth much on trade in. cost of ownership sucks on hyundais. they start replacing stuff 40% into the life of their products. makes ownership a cheap purchase but loser on the sale. my avalon looked the same for 6-7 years which protects me. they will start talking up the two year away elantra while they sell you the current model. these guys are nuts.
any thoughts on the ne lucerne from buick?
Read some reviews.

Tell me, does that Venetian Blue look like a medium blue/silver, light blue or dark blue?
I should start by saying I photograph and write about cars for several magazines and newspapers on a freelance basis.
I too am impressed with the new Azera, and yes it needs a few tweaks to put it right up there in Avalon territory. But wait until next year! As for resale value, eventually they will improve in that category (with products like the Azera and the Sonata, as well as what is in the pipeline, they can only go up.)
Remember WAY WAY Back when Toyota and Honda first came to these shores? They basically had no resale either, but then they got it, and realized that if they were to continue in this market, things would have to change pronto. From the cars that I see at press previews, Hyundai has learned this lesson as well. It may not be this year, heck, it may not be next year either, that they begin to realize greater residual value, but they do know that it is of the utmost importance if they wish to do business here.
As for the Lucerne, it is a VAST improvement over what it replaces. It has plenty of power, nice looks, good build quality, but they could have hit a home run if they lowered the age of the target market by offering sportier handling, an "autostick" transmission, and more firm ride than what is offered in the highline model. Bold direction like this has helped to bring the spark back to the Cadillac Division, and they are to be applauded for great products. Buick needs to shed some of the corporate timidity that exists within the division. In other words, they should be following the mantra of "Make no small gestures."

I obtained my own brochure today and that venetian blue is really a midnight blue!
As Mark mentioned above, I think Hyundai is making a great play with the Azera. I'll be interested to feel the way it drives. The only thing I think is missing are cooled seats, NAV and a remote start.
The LaCrosse fits that bill better.
Young people don't want a big car like Lucerne. Or Azera for that matter.
Don't believe me? Just go ask a bunch of young people. I did.
Oh yeah, I know, Cadillacs are cool. But that's because you can get 400 hp and a 6-speed in an edgy package. And it is a lot smaller than the Lucerne too. But younger people rarely have the $$ for a CTS V.

All the idiots are talking on their damn cell phones.
Sheesh I hate the SUV ce3ll phone people who aren't even aware of who and what's around them.
You see a SUV not using dir signals - they're on thier cell phones.
There is another forum which compares the Azera to the Buicks. Click here http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.efd3ad7/10
Note the numbers there: both Buicks are a lot pricier than the Azera.
Know what I mean? I don't think people should be able to talk on them while driving at all...people drive bad enough to not have something else distracting them.
2021 Kia Soul LX 6-speed stick
Actually I never intended to bring in the Buick to the Hyundai forum, but was trying to answer one of the other posters who stated he owned 3 Hyundais and an Avalon. Apples and Oranges. I was just starting my comments by saying that for a Buick it was an impressive change in target demographics.
Now for the youngblood that doesn't have the scratch, nor the desire for something as big as the Lucerne, yes, you're right...He can go and buy that Tauru...uh, er Lacrosse.

The Passat is a fine vehicle. I sat in one during the recent Autoshow and the materials were of the highest quality, the layout was pleasing and the leather was soft and the instruments were nice to look at. My only complaint was that the rearseat was small, smaller than the 300, Avalon or Azera.
Sorry about the treatment of Hyundai dealers. You would think they would treat you well and keep you informed so you could buy their product....... The Azera is a nice car but they shouldnt make you wait so long, it's nothing special except for the low price.
Anyway happy motoring.
Anyway happy motorinh
How about posting those many more features the Passat has over at the other board:

You'll get a discussion going.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your Passat.
