OMG where do ya'll find these cars that deserve to be in the crushers. Did humans actually invent and engineer these out of this world cars ????? :surprise:
For some reason, in the '70's, some of the Datsuns sold in the U.S. had the first two digits in the model name reversed in the rest of the world. The B210 was the 120Y, and what was sold here as a Datsun 510 was (IIRC) a 150Y.
Just don't ask me to explain Sunny or Cherry. They sound like fruit drinks, not cars.
Well they copied a 50's era Corvette I do know that
It's probably more the other way around but I don't see much resemlance to any Corvette. It's the rare Zagato-bodied version of the Ferrari 250GT TDF (ca. 1957-59 IIRC), sometimes known as the 250 GTZ (for Zagato).
...it's a 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air for they rationed out a strip of brightwork. The Biscayne would be plainer. Perhaps the chrome was an optional extra on Biscaynes that year.
Pretty good supposition re: chrome striping but the car is advertised as a 1962 Chevy Biscayne 409
The rear of the car in the link does lack the satin silver rear panel of contemporary Impalas.
Raised white letter tires and mags are indeed not period correct as they came into vogue in the later 60s. Other than that it's a pretty good example of a '62 Chevy 409 configured for max performance with the lighter coupe bodywork (with a B pillar and bench seats).
Those pictures just remind me how strange and bloated Hondas look these days. I remember when those Preludes were brand new on the lots. My brother had just turned 16 and wanted a yellow 89 or 90 with the 4ws, but at close to 20k dollars they were a bit out of his range. He bought a 75 Monte Carlo instead.
What we have here is a KPGC10, better known as the 1970 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R coupe. 2-liter DOHC I6, 160 hp at 7000 rpm, independent RWD suspension, about 2400 pounds curb weight. While I was looking for the picture, I found a Japanese export house that had a fully-restored '71 GT-R on deck for 5 million yen.

I should add that this unit was never sold in North America.
Well, it looks like a LR Discovery, except the grill maybe looks not quite right. maybe it's just the black vertical bars on it?
Or maybe it's a clone made by someone else?

Kinda like the name Crossroad, though.
