Wasn't there a Bluebird--maybe the Pontiac version of Skyhawk at about the same time? I said it before and ended up with egg on my post because I thought it was the Firebird. Was the J-car called the Skybird and a model the Bluebird in the same powder blue?
Cool! I thought I remembered a Yellow Bird, but wasn't sure. Never see these 'special editions' anymore, I guess they have been junked or painted over.

Barely. I saw an ad for a '76 Nova that touted bias-ply tires as a cost-saving measure: "Chevy puts money in your pocket!" or something like that. All of $15.
'67 Chevy Chevelle or Pontiac Beaumont (Canada version). My guess is that knowing your history of finding pictures of the obscure models, it's a Beaumont with a V8

Pontiac's H-body models were the Sunbird and Astre. The J-body was the J2000, then the 2000, then the 2000 Sunbird, and then the Sunbird. I don't recall a "Bluebird" version, since that has been a long-standing Nissan model (sold in the US as the Maxima or Stanza in different years).
Did the 327 have flags on the fenders too? I'm curious how the flags were code for various motors. Does anyone know a site with pictures or explanations for the various years.

Yes, indeed the 327 was usually "flagged". I have a replica miniature of the 327 emblem, part of my small collection of engine badges and replicas.
I should've remembered that 327s were still around in '67. One of my dream cars is a 327 Stingray convertible.
Please understand I wasn't saying you missed one but I've never understood the code. I had a friend who's parents let him use their 327 convertible back in those days. I thought it had flags-I don't remember the year.
Did some of those have the motor displacement on the flag while others didn't? I'm off to search to see what I can find.
The white, convertible is a '68 or'69 Impala SS. The engine badge is housed in the bezel for the side marker lamp. Three simple white digits replaced the elaborate flag emblems in '68.
Ford Escort ca. late 70s - appears to have a Ghia trim level badge. I am unsure of the rest of the model, but I bet some of our UK posters could narrow it down exactly. I had a Matchbox one as a kid.

There were Chevy and Pontiac Beaumonts which were both Chevelles with Pontiac grilles and Chevy engines. :confuse:

It's much easier from this angle where you can see the '50s style fins that charcterized earlier Alpines but I didn't want to make it too easy.>>
