Dogs bark because of its looks. I guess it isn't so ugly as it is really freaky, but it kind of burns your retinas no less. That French 60s modernism is just odd. But hey, your "break" or whatever the official name would be is easier on the eyes than the sedan!
Oh, that's an Ami sedan...the freakshow version of the wagon posted earlier by vchiu. I was just showing why I think the looks are...well, questionable.
I would have to agree with you on that one, but I would say that in defense of the Aztek that the inside of the Aztek is pretty nice and roomy. But you still have to sneek up on it.

You could say the same thing about the Ami, or any small Citroen, thery're famous for their smooth ride on lousy French farm roads and their spacious interiors considering the small overall size.
Looks like some sort of Fiat from the late 50's that goes by the cc's of the engine. I'll guess maybe an 850.
Well that's a good guess because it is sort of a Fiat. It's an Autobianchi Bianchina Cabriolet from 1960-'62. Autobianchi was a consortium of Fiat and Pirelli formed in 1957.
The Bianchinas featured little 500 cc/ 15HP mouse motors that make the 850 seem like a big-block by comparison. :surprise:
Bianchina Trasformible (convertible)
I can recall seeing a few of these back in the day.
The original P4 Rover with the centre spotlight was nicknamed "Cyclops" but was sold as the 75, and eventually, about 1953, they replaced the grille with a conventional one, but it was still the 75 for a while longer, although the 90, and later a load of others which looked similar shared the same body shell (60, 80, 95, 100, 105, 110).They phased out the P4 range in a964, by which time it was just the 95 and the 110, I think, but they get confusing....
Can't find a reply to this one which got missed in the shuffle. Its a Zwickau P70, forerunner of the Trabant, circa 1956 - 59. You guys have really dug up some interesting cars in the last few days whie I've been away, - by the way, I liked the Citroen AMI - it's quirky... Saw an immaculate DS today - 1967, with the original front - not the faired in headlights of the later models.
That's exactly it. What I'm not sure of is if it was the Eldorado that got the wrap windshield in '54 ahead of the rest of the GM line (the C-B-O-Ps got them starting in '55), or was it just the Eldo and of course, the Corvette.
You're also right about the Zwickau P70, it was also known as the AWZ (Auto Werke Zwikau) P70. In any case it was part of the same Sachesenring group that gave us the Trabis.

I just re-edit my previous post and now I see it
So, name and model year?
Why?
This pictured car is mine actually.
They share their underpinnings with the 2CV
The Engine is the same Flat-2 Cylinder with air cooling. A real fun to drive. Top speed around 120 Km/h or 75 Mph
Yes it is a Citroen Ami. Any more precise idea?
Yes, specifically a Simca Abarth 2000 from the mid-60s, one of a number of rear-engined Zagato-bodied specials based on Simca or Fiat Mechanicals.
If you look carefully it says "SIMCA ABARTH" on the side.

IIRC). It apes the styling of the Porsche 944, just as the Gen I copied (loosely the 924.

I am sure it sounds kind of cool too.

DS's are very cool, the weirdness works there.

Just for the record, the "Can Am" package came a little later and included a wheels, graphics, "shaker" and a 6.6 V-8.

The big Caddy is a 54 or a 55, I can't tell the model.

I beleve it wasn't made by an outside coachbuilder, the Morgan factory built these - they made about 25, I think.
