Tercel appears to be an 83-85, still quite a few in this region.

It's a 1953 Pontiac. As to the model name, I think that was a confusing year when Pontiac named it a Chieftan Catalina.

Model names in that era tended to involve lots of words so you'd have things like the Chrysler New Yorker Special Deluxe, or the Chevrolet Fleetliner Custom Moderne

Nope, the car turning into lot is a 70s vintage Ford LTD, not a GP.

There are hints that the wagon is a '66 or '67 Chevy II. But, chrome rear roof supports? Rear bumper narrowed over the plate?
There is evidence of body repair. Perhaps parts were replaced with whatever worked.
  • ab348ab348 Member Posts: 20,349
I was thinking the red wagon might be a Valiant.

Thanks for the clarification. To me, the top still looks more GMish than Ford. Have always liked the Lime Gold color.

    It's a Fiat 124 sport coupe.

Getting back to L.A. in the 1970s, here's a shot of Hollywood Blvd showing not only a few not-too-mysterious cars but a couple of celebrity small business ventures in the background. Expands nicely.

Not Yamaha, it uses the three crossed tuning forks. I looked at a lot of Chinese logos, couldn't find it.

Pretty bad dent in the rear quarter of the 65 Galaxie driving away at left in the first 70s LA pic.

That natural foods spiel made me think of the restaurant owned by the girl's dad in Valley Girl. Import in front of the Natural Foods store is a Dodge Colt, which ranges between rare and incredibly rare today.

but a great all around car with a sporty twin-cam four, five speeds and room for four. Styling by Bertone gave excellent outward visibility.

Yeah, I did too. I'm feeling like it's something custom-made and pasted on whatever that monstrosity is.

Ah, someone else just identified it. It's something between a vehicle and a golf car.

    LOL.
I'm confused. If it's a golf car, where do I put the clubs?

The site on the plate has lots of pictures that change after after a few seconds to give lots of
    views of the "cars."

Probably targeted for those "senior communities" where these are often found in the garage next to the full size car.

We have a weekend place (park model trailer) in a community with heavy use of golf carts. That little thing would be of no use. I couldn’t throw my beach chairs and floats on top, etc etc.

The Atomic was a new one on fee - my first thought was the Mahindra as I have seen a few of these around even out in the outer suburbs due to their ability to enter the London Restricted Congestion Zone without charge due to zero emissions...
