54 Mercury Monterey me thinks. That is really really nice. If I had a collection this would be in it along with a 50 Ford and a 50 or 51 Merc. I think the Fords and Mercs from 1949 to 1954 were the best looking American cars ever made. 54-58 Chevys and 53-54 Buicks are my second choices. I'm saving a copy of this one.....
A '53 Monterey was used in the Desi Arnez/Lucille Ball movie The Long, Long Trailer. Anyone recall that movie? The trailer was a 32 footer, made by New Moon. I'd like to see the current Monterey pull that! LOL
Yes, the car in front is a 500 Superfast. I think the other black coupe is a close cousin of the SWB known as the 250GT Interim Berlinetta, it was a transition between the TDFs and the SWBs, the curvature of the top of the side window is different and IIRC it has the longer wheelbase of the 250 TDF.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the black Spider California that is also visible in the background. The red car is probably a 250GT LM.
47 or 48 or 49 Buick, either a Roadmaster or Super. More than likely a Super since there isn't much chrome on the sides. I'll go with a Super.... :confuse:
1970 Chevrolet 4 door Impala or Caprice (had a 2 door Caprice once) Move, just a wild guess Killer Klowns from Outer Space..... I really have no idea.....
Let see here, it's definetly a 1957 Buick, and since it only has 3 ports on the fenders then the model would be most likley a Special. As for the wheels, who knows, I checked the Old Card Manual Project http://www.tocmp.com/ website and no wire wheels were listed as an option but they could have been a dealer installed option.
Andre, I am going to have to take you out to the woodshed and have you punished severely if you persist in comparing Mustangs and Camaros to the likes of K-Cars and Miradas.
Well, okay, if you must. And yeah, you're right, a Mustang with a Pinto 4 or Fairmont 6, or a Camaro that was mainly cannibalizing its engines from the Citation and Celebrity was a real class act compared to one of them K-cars! :P

Behind it looks like a 250GT SWB.

Yeah, the red car is a 250 LM. It kinda looks like a Dino, but the wiper is a giveaway.

OK, I cheated...I see the dealer with that car is a stones throw from me.

Early '80s?
(Really... I don't know.. the bumpers look like they would come from the original in the '60s... but, the wheels scream '80s)

Those wheels are funny
The pic is from the chase scene in "Marathon Man", where a [non-permissible content removed] war criminal flees in, what else, a fintail

The Sprint of course was a rebadged Chevy El Camino.
You're correct about the '57 Bick Special.

You're right, that was shameful... Think how many years I've been waiting to say that again...
My question is, what year was that wagon, anyway?

You were right the first time, it's a '65...ergo a Studebaker Daytona V8. The wheel's on the right because it was sold in South Africa.

I thought this style was nice, and the one that came later wasn't bad either...as is mentioned, it was a loud hint at the upcoming Lexus
