GT wheels too I think the GT badge is on black plastic piece behind the door.

    @stickguy,
    That's the spirit!

I just went through a bunch of photo albums to find a picture of my 86 GT. It has a 5.0 emblem on the front fender, so I'm going to guess that Mustang is an 85.

According to the caption it is an '86 Mustang GT. i had a convertible version of the same car with the same telephone dial wheels and like yours a "5.0" emblem on the front fender. Mine also had a partially blacked out hood w "GT" lettering.

As you probably know the '86 GT was an odd duck that looked more like an LX than the GTs from '87 on with their different front styling. 1986 was the first MY for EFI on the 'Stangs.
They were rated @225hp IIRC which doesn't sound like much but they were pretty light and went like hell when you stomped on them.

I see it but where's the 5.0 badge?

GT is embossed in the rub strip just ahead of the rear wheel.
You could also delete the dark hood decal.

Badge could have been removed, but all GTs were the V8.

That's correct, GT were all 5.0L/302CID V8s. LX models could be ordered w the same V8 in place
    of the standard I6.

That style of wheel was wicked popular in the 60s and early 70s. Minilite still makes them

It amazing you can spend that much money for a hideous color.

Assuming it’s a Continental GT. Not sure of year.

Few imports (Saab, Rabbit, and Audi 5000), and I can't find a Japanese car. Kind of like when I moved from CA to TX in 1980, lots in CA, very few in TX, at that time.

I think the owner of that Buick Estate Wagon might be in for an earful when they return to their car.

The '76 or '77 Maverick with the smiling driver took a good bash to the front bumper, which now rides at a jaunty angle.

There is a sporty job parked just behind the square-body Chevy pickup. Odds are it is a Corvette but I'm not at all sure.

Near the upper left, a Jeep Grand Cherokee sandwiched between 2 Chevy pickups, both 2 tone.
Just beyond those, a couple of 2 door Blazers.
In a row headed into the parking lot, a Saab 99, early fox body Mustang, and Chevette. To the right of the Chevette, a J body Buick 2 door.

I see two Birds, but they are not square birds. The square birds were 58-60. There’s also a Club Wagon in the background. Guessing early 80s.

Audi 5000 is a 78-79. In front of it, behind the white squarebody, I agree there's a Corvette. El Camino next to that, and a couple cars to the right, a Ford Tempo, brand new at the time (IIRC a spring or summer launch). Above the Audi appears to be a Plymouth Sapporo or equivalent. Next to the Rabbit, an Omnirizon.

That big Bird might be more showing how those beasts aged when their values fell off a cliff (ours was off the road in 1985).

Funny to see two of those very unloved early 80s Thunderbirds in the same shot. Buick wagon looks good with those wheels. I bet that was a high option car.

Very early Escort perpendicular to the Chevy van upper left.

That's what I figured, I just have a soft spot for the receivers, amps, etc. from back then. As much as that was the 'malaise era' for cars, some consider it the 'golden age' for hi-fi equipment.

Close, I think that oldie is a 37-38 Buick. Maybe a 39-40 intermediate GM beside it. I agree the coupe is a DeSoto, unique grille.

That’s a beast. I have the lesser 45 watt model with Quartz lock tuning and Fluoroscan meters, 1980? I have the receipt somewhere. It did power my somewhat inefficient Advent speakers nicely. It is stored in a closet.

In ‘81 or ‘82 when these were new I couldn’t afford a big receiver but I bought a SX-3600 that served me well for many years. Around ‘06 or ‘07 I started buying what I really wanted via eBay. Initially got s SX-880, followed by a SX-3800. Not long after the SX-3900 popped up for a good price and I grabbed it.
