59 Impala back right. Pretty sure the Benz is a 58, 180. @fintail can correct me if I’m wrong.
On the right track. Impossible to tell by the pic as some details are the same for cars of different models. It is a 4cyl Ponton (180 or 190 series) no newer than 1959.
on Sunset a pair of red Datsuns (1600s?) Silver Maverick (not the good kind!) with blackout hood. White Rambler wagon (looking really antiquated by then).
I was just about to post that Sunset pic! I wonder where you found it...
Surprised by the shortage of GM cars there aside from the C3 Vette, but lots of Ford products including the '66 Galaxie 2-door, the 2nd-gen Mustang convertible, the pair of '64-'66 T-Birds, what looks like a Pinto wagon driving away from the camera, a couple of full-size Fords coming towards us in the background, and a Lincoln also heading our way. Might be another Maverick or a Comet alongside the Linc.

I think Malaise Motors maybe. Randomly logged onto fb yesterday and it greeted me.
I also noticed the lack of GM, maybe surprising as I think the Van Nuys plant was in operation then. Oldest cars might be the Rambler wagon and the white fintail kind of in the center in front of a silver Beetle. Also a MB 107 SL/SLC beside the blue ~72 full size Ford, and at bottom right, in front of the 66 Galaxie and behind a Beetle that appears to be missing a front fender, maybe a MB W108.
Diana Rigg - in her Avenger days - with a Lotus Elan
Yes! I'm a big fan of both Mrs.Peel and the original Elan. That one is a 1966 Elan S3 with the fixed windowe frames. The Elan of course was the styling template for the original Mazda MX5 Miata, perhaps the most popular roadster ever made.
My post a few days back was a 1947 Hillman Minx Phase I -it was a mildly modified version of the immediate prewar version last seen in 1939 and had a slightly different grille.
They were quite rare as the model was introduced in mid 1946 and again altered at the end of August 1947 ( - phase II - this time they introduced faired in headlights and another mild variation to the grille) but ten months after that the Minx was changed to a more modern looking car (Phase III) which was the start of the body shell which ran through to 1956)
This car was registered in Paisley, Scotland and the registration series ran from 1903 (XS 1) to 1956 when they would have then changed over from XS 9999 to AXS 1 etc...
A picture of parking lot possibly for a car show or cruise-in in front of the Eiffel Tower. Oh, that's the Eiffel Tower at Kings Island amusement park near Cincy.
Really, I don't see anything near '59MY. Looks like about a 1946 Buick next to a similar vintage Packard taxi. This pic was taken well before 1950 I think.
IIRC DeSotos dominated NYC taxi fleets and stayed that way until around the mid 50s

62 Ford looks like a Galaxie.
Yes, 58-60. 55 Ford black with white top. The white car between the Tbird and the 55 Ford could be a 56 Ford Customline based on the hood ornament.
Can anyone ID the car on the other side of the 55 Ford? I can't quite get it.

Could be I guess. I just don’t recognize the rear roofline with that thin pillar.

Though I think the Vauxhall you were thinking of is likely to be this Vauxhall 10 of 1946 - which happens to be a Metropolitan Police one
Most of the cars offered here in 1945- 50 were pretty similar
However, think Rootes...

Yes, it appears to be a Lark. 57 Chevy at left. 55/56 Ford.
