The Conquest was produced by Mitsubishi for Chrysler Corporation and should read almost exactly that on the badging, just like the "Colt"/"Champ" and "Challenger"/"Sapporo" and "D50"/"Arrow Pickup" and "Arrow" did before it.
Depending on the year, the Conquest was sold in the US under three different brand names: Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth. There were no differences between them beyond the dealership who sold them and the badging on the rear. And, I believe, the VIN code should be slightly different depending on the brand name as well (Chryslers should start "JJ3", Dodges start "JB3" and Plymouths should start "JP3").

Ward Cleaver got a new Plymouth every year in much the same way that Todd Stiles of Route 66 would get a new Corvette. For some reason I recall
Perry Mason driving new Fords.

Some interesting cars visible in background but what a horror show up front.

We were just discussing it in the Crossover thread.
The profile reminds me of a downsized MDX.

across the street from The Beaver and his friend?

Oh, yes, what was that car in the background, anyway? :-D
I don't think so, it's hard to see but I think I can just make out the peculiar shapes of the hideous '61 Plymouth, like this one>

Looks like a Mini Traveller that mated with the front end of a Beetle.

If they make the advert down the right hand margin wide enough to stop people posting replies, how do they think people are going to use a forum - or are we all just posting unanswered messages now - if the margin gets any wider there won't be anything to look at, so no one will read the advert either.
EDIT Weird - posting this answer reset the margins to the previous width and reinstated the reply/edit etc buttons. - This site is certainly less well supported technically since the last changes - it is more flaky, and less user friendly.
Second edit - Margin just expanded again so I can't reply t any posts on any previous page....
Is it just me - or are you all seeing this - the last word on every line of this message is being cut off....
Actually I think it isn't every page, but this one certainly hasn't got any reply buttons. All the messages just finish at the S of Save, et the next page they come back....
However, when something too wide is keeping you from getting to the Reply and your own post management links, you can usually use the Go To Msg # to manipulate the number of posts on the page which will change around the posts that the ads or whitespace cover up. Easier for you to experiment with it than for me to explain it. :-P
Hope this helps.
I still can't place the mystery wagon, although I know I have seen it before. The coupe reminds me of a prewar Steyr, but those were of course Austrian.
Interesting to see that 1934 car though - easy reference to the later KDF-Wagen, prototype for the VW ( my car isn't a VW either
And that wagon just can't make it deep enough into my memory to bring up a name...yet it is somehow familiar.
This blue retro-looking thing is a Royale Windsor, it's based on the Granada floorpan (1985/93) and is in current production. They also make a limo version which is extended, although that is more for wedding hire, I should think, and a couple of 2-door convertibles, including the one in the background. It is available as a kit, or built, and is made in Doncaster, Yorkshire.
Nice to see someone other than Americans dares to make a neo-classic. Well, there are those oddball Japanese ones, but they are kind of cool in a freakshow way.
