GTbyCitroën. Introduced in 2008 Paris Motor Show as a concept car. Previously was – and is — a virtual car, the result of a partnership between Citroën and Polyphony, designer of the driving simulation game Gran Turismo 5 on Playstation 3.
Yup, both Maserati and Volkswagen have used the same naming convention of naming different models after winds that originate across the Mediterranean Sea in Northern Africa. The Euro version of the trunked Golf we know as the Jetta is called the Bora .
The Bora name was also used on the exotic mid-engined 1970s Maserati Bora, a competitor of the Boxer and the Miura.
The continental in the Bentley terms meant it was for continental cruising, so quick dashes across the European continent (an early version of the GT). The "Continental" kits of the fifties I thought were named after the Lincoln. and the Lincoln continental was Edsels take on the continental cars of the time. He had spent some time on the continent (Europe) and liked the style of cars there. He thought a car styled like the European cars but with American mechanicals would sell
It looks a lot better than mine - thisis a later Magnette - the parcel shelf makes it a ZB, I think, as oposed tomy ZA which has a sort of satchel under the dashboard. The instruments on mine are different too, but that is becasue mine is an early ZA - they changed the latter in mid 1955. I would ssay this one is circa 57/58 - and if the colours are original it's a ZB Variitone..
I have looked again at this - the full width parcel shelf is really for the ZB, according to the breakdown in the website for these cars, but there was a sort of hybrid in the middle of 1956, where some of the new features came along ahead of the actual model change. I don't think the Australain thing is relevant because these cars were generally assembled in UK, I believe, and I think the colour may not be original either. I am no expert, but this car has lots of bits mine doesn't as my old girl is from the first year or so of production, and they changed lots in year two.
Well, the two cop cars are a '57 Chevy and a '56 Ford, neither one the bottom-feeder trim levels usually bought. The truck is a Chevy, but I don't know the year.

That's right Lemko, I guess the truck could be a GMC as well. There's a '49-'52 Gm sedan in the middle of the shot but it's too far back to tell if it's a Chevy or Pontiac.
I actually remember this exact car being for sale a year or so ago on craigslist and discussed here on another thread. Apparently a bunch of stuff didn't work including that half way rolled rear down window.
The taxi cab is a 1988, 89 or Chevy Caprice. You can tell it's a newer one by the rounder front end, with the wrap around lights.
The coupe is an Eagle Talon TSi, maybe a 1990? And the blue one behind the tree appears to be an early Chrysler Intrepid 93 or 94, by the looks of the wheels and the roofline.

I hope Citroën will develop in some way or other this car, to keep with its history in building great cars.

The lack of side scalloping eliminates not only the Charger but also the Coronet, doesn't it?

sez this is a 1956 MG ZA Magnette.>
Perhaps the detail differences are dsue to the fact that this car is Australian.

The one on top is a Mid 1960s (English) Ford Corsair.
Third one down is a Late 60s Hillman Super Minx.
B&W is a 1960's Riley Elf, essentially a tarted up Mini.
I can't quite place the green coupe after the Corsair. It's definitely Rootes Group Sunbeam/Talbot/Chrysler etc. (early 70's?)
