Fake out! The plate is a reference to the 30th anniversary of the T-Bird so it's a 1985 Thunderbird LX 5.0 30th Anniversary Edition, it wears the same "phone dial" wheels as the 85-86 Mustang 5.0s and noo wisecracks about "what's a phone dial. :P
Close enough Stephen, It's a 1966 Datsun 411 (JDM PL411 Bluebird), the 411 being a larger-engined version with the 1600cc engine from the Datsun Sports /JDM Fairlady, as opposed to the 410's 1300cc motor. They look almost identical, the resemblance to Alfas stemming from the fact that Pininfarina executed the styling.

Yep it's a late 60's Manx, I considered buying one as they are lighter than the Beetle with better handling and braking and there's a zillion ways to hop-up the basic VW boxer. Driving one was much like I'd imagine a 356 would drive.
Correct! It's the sister of the Ford EXP which my brother and I joked that it meant "EXtensivelt Plastic!" Ford sales literature of the time had the chuzpah to picture the EXP next to a classic 1955-57 Thunderbird!
I knew a lady that owned a late 60's Datsun like this and it was a great car except for the cat that peed in it! It seems to me that Datsun and Toyota were similar quality vehicles, but around the time of the name change to Nissan their quality started falling behind.
The Storm had a different front clip than this model, which is the Isuzu Impulse. The Asuna Sunfire shared the body panels with this model, but didn't carry the "Isuzu" badge across the grille as this one does.
OK, here's a try: The brown 2-door is a 76-81 1st generation Honda Accord, the 4-door blue sedan is a 1990 Buick - looks like a LeSabre. The champaigne color 2-door with the vinyl roof looks like a 91 Cadillac Coupe deVille. I can't quite make out the silver 4-door in front of it, but it looks vaguely like a Cutlass. And the 2 dorr coupe in the foreground looks so familiar -- is it a Nissan Pulsar??
The hatchback lower left is an earlyish Accord as was mentioned. The coupe to the right is a SubaruXT6 as was mentioned. Blue sedan to the left is a mid 80s Buick Century. Parked in front of the white building aoppears to be an early Subaru Legacy and a ca. 85-88 Caddy. Small glimpse of car at lower right appears to be a Ford LTD/Grand Marquis.
There was a Sundance America, Horizon America, and a Reliant America from what I can recall. There was a car manufactured by Willys called the Americar around 1940-41.

It's impossible to tell from that photo whether it's a Series One or Two E-Type.

My Dad had a 1981 Thunderbird Town Landau. It was a real dog! I had to floor that puny 255 V-8 engine just to get that car up a hill.

The silver car in front of the Cadillac is, I think, a Subaru Legacy.
Looks like a personal photo ... why don't the wheels match?

That's it! Thanks for kick-starting the ol' memory.
Weren't there stripped versions of these models sold under the "America" moniker?
Perhaps it's time to bring that patriotism back?

Sorry for the problems posting. We may have to do a "reboot" tonight if it still won't clear up.
