I'll take a crack of this. Next to the red Buick (with a space in between) is what seems to be a ~55 Nash convertible. I would imagine that was pretty rare.

Ford Anglia 100E. Ford UK had a salmon color that wasn't much different, so that thing might not be too detached from reality. Matchbox had an early car in the salmon color (might be hard to tell in the pic)

Yup exactly it's a 1958 Ford Anglia/100E . IIRC Ford USA had an identical color in their catalog for the mid '50s. My friends parents had a 199 '55 Ford wagon that was essentially the same color...er.. colour.

'64 Pontiac Bonneville...short hood and long deck!
I'm a big fan of '60's big Pontiacs, but I'm glad that by '66 they got rid of that enormous Bonneville emblem that's on the front fender of this car. I think the shorter-wheelbase big Ponchos seem better-proportioned, too. Look online sometime at, say, a '62 Pontiac Star Chief. How that car got in and out of a driveway without dragging butt I'll never know! LOL
I like the eight-lug wheels and color of this '64 for sure. Wonderful instrument panel too IMHO.

My Dad had a 1969 Pontiac Executive 2 door hardtop. I remember when we moved into our then new house, it scraped the street. That thing was huge.
Yup it's a 1964 Pontiac Bonneville . This one has the chrome side strip from the Catalina added for protection against side impacts. The faux-convertible roof was an option on GM's big coupes from '62-'64. It was meant to appeal to people like my mother who liked the sporty look of a ragtop but had no intention of putting the top down and messing up their hair.
IIRC it was more popular than the alternative "bubble top" (not offered in'64) and usually accompanied by a vinyl covering and/or contrasting color. The blue car is unusual in having neither.
The attractive eight-lug wheels so often seen on surviving Ponchos were actually pretty rare. I don't think more than 10% of Bonnies, Cats and GPs had them back in the day.
A '64 Pontiac that I lust for is the Catalina 2+2. Shorter wheelbase, buckets and console, great panel, those cool boomerang taillights (filled in on the Grand Prix), and not often seen.
BTW, the last GM 'bubbletop' was the '62 Bel Air Sport Coupe. Starting in '62, the Impala, all big Pontiacs, Buicks, Oldsmobiles, and Cadillac had a formal top much like the Bonneville shown above.
fintail, the Bonneville was a good bit bigger than an Impala. The Chevys then had a 119-inch wheelbase; the Pontiacs were on two wheelbases--121 and 123 I think. The Bonneville and Star Chief were on the long wheelbase. The Catalina and Grand Prix were on the shorter wheelbase. I always seem to notice the extra length near the rear wheel on those longer Pontiacs for some reason.

The centers of those beautiful eight lug wheels were actually the brake drums.
I can remember in the late 70's they were still available from the dealers but they were over 100.00 each back in those days. I'm guessing that today they would be near impossible to find either new or used that were within specs.
Making things worse, those full sized Pontiacs were VERY hard on brakes.
robr, the only difference in appearance and trim between the Ventura option on the Catalina and the Executive, was the wheelbase (Executive on the longer wheelbase). Interiors were identical. I always thought that was kind of funny. Neither Venturas nor Executives were seen all that often in the late '60's up through the '70 model. In '71, the Ventura became the Catalina Brougham and the Executive became the Bonneville.

Between today's cars, and my old cars having been Studebakers which barely would have been classified as intermediates, I look at that Chrysler and as nice as it is, the size of it just seems almost cartoonish! That was a popular color on that vintage Newport IIRC.

I have one of those Matchbox Zodiacs - although there is virtually no paint on mine....
I don't remember seeing very many pink Ford cars in use when they were around in the sixties as everyday cars - but its surprising how many turn up at car shows...

Those pink/salmon/coral shades were seen more often in the 50s on this side of the Atlanic during the 1950s rather than during the 60s. Pastels were quite popular especially during the mid-50s but the pinks were never all that common, at least where I grew up in the NYC area. It seemed as if 80% of the Cadillacs you saw were black rather than pink or red etc.
Chrysler had a coral/gray color scheme, as did Chevy and Ford. I NEVER saw a pink Cadillac while growing up in NYC. We probably would have stoned it for blasphemy. Cadillacs belonged to doctors, gangsters and landlords.

When they were new in the 50's, cars like the Ford Zephyr and Vauxhall Cresta would have been driven by middle - management or possibly the local lawyer. But the cars looked American and therefore when they turn up at car shows now they are driven by people who are into Rock & Roll, etc. Unlike your teenagers in those days, in Britain most people under twenty would not have had access to a car - or they would have been driving a pre-war Ford Eight (that's horsepower, not cylinders)....
Right hand drive, detachable steering wheel (at least the wheel was gone when I took these pics!), and vintage plates. Considering the area, it very well may not be a replica (Also, from these pics - you can't see the safety wire on the spinner hubs). Pretty sure it's a real race car

Gangsters in NYC? Say it ain't so!
They used to call Buicks "Doctor's Cars". It was said that people got turned off seeing their doctor driving a Cadillac but a Buick was OK.

Probably not a real race car, I don't think actual GT40s could be licensed for street excepting the Mk III version. It could well be one of those like this one (they were very rare-only 7 made)>

I like it better than the CLA. At least I might be able to fit in the back seat, and it should have some usable cargo space.

I never really noticed the proportions in that way - seems bigger than an Impala
Reminds me of a fuselage coupe, with the amusingly long hood and deck both

Hey guys, New to this forum...sorry if I don't post as a pro.
Saw this car in my little village of Reston tonight. Who knows what it is?
Welcome! Don't know what it is but it must be a fun ride on the snow.
certainly looks like a GT40 to me. I assume a replica of some sort?

Well, I did a little research (goog'd it) and the consensus is that this one IS a replica GT-40.
[non-permissible content removed], I wouldn't even drive my 993 if there was snow (or salt) within 50 miles!

well, it does have split color lenses to accomodate amber turn signals, which I'm pretty sure a real racecar doesn't need. haha.
