Something like that. The 1750GTV was sold here for only a couple of years but IIRC in '70 or '71 it was replaced by the 2000GTV, the maroon car is a '73 2000GTV.
That and the Ford GT sitting on a local dealer's showroom floor. Who needs that GT in normal driving. Salesman didn't know how to react when I asked if snow tires were available for the GT for bad weather days here in Central Ohio.
'54 Desoto. The reverse slant on the rear windows didn't show up until about then and the ultimate was the 58 Chev 4 door hardtop with the reverse slant to the C-pillar.
I was dying to answer that one. It seems like the sheiks liked those as they would do 120 mph in the sand (assuming any armor and machine guns mounted didn't weigh it down too much).
Looks like some foreign coachwork bastardization of a British car like an MGTD. A TD is lame enough but this car is really getting ugly in proportion, wheel size and style, and heavy grillework. Is it a kit car?

It reads:Grand Marquis LS and,
of course, Mercury
I'd guess a late 80's model, a friend of ours recently dumped one.

I just opened up the picture and the lettering doesn't seem that big to me.
Anyway both of you are correct, 1985 Mercury Grand Marquis it is.

The red truck is a Diamond T, a completely prewar design carried over to around 1950 IIRC
Yep, that one's a 1948.

I'll guess the wagon is about a 73 Buick...but aside from that, I dunno...can't recall a model name
Close, it's a '71.

No sense of humor in showrooms these days.
2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
It looks like a float at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.

Yes it was and I don't think Motor Trend's credibility has recovered to this day :P
I might see an Alliance once or twice a year but I don't recall the last time I saw it's little brother, the Encore.

Probably Italian or British.
Is that really post WWII?
Is it a kit car?
