DKW Junior, my parents' first car. I'm too little to remember it first-hand, but I think that's what it was. Our next car was a bigger DKW 1000, which was a hunk of junk.
These Juniors went 160 km/h, given enough time. Probably not a really good idea.
Jawhol! It's a DKW Junior ca. 1960. The Four Ring or stood for the four brands that formed the Auto Union AG: Audi, Horch, Wanderer and DKW (Deutsche Kraft Werke) and all of those brands wore the rings after the mid 30s.
It's a product of a famous design house that found itself in a bit of a rut at the time it was made and kept repeating the same design that found itself on automobiles both expensive and inexpensive during that era.
It's a '63 Fiat 1600, note the unique hood bulge. Except for that Pininfarina used almost the exact same styling in several other vehicles including the Fiat 1500 Spider, the Lancia Appia coupe and even the Ferrai 250GT PF.
They sold those in 4WD with raised suspensions, but before anyone says they were first, Subaru beat them to it and had a 4WD raised wagon way back in 1972.
You're off by a couple of years, Juice. It's a '69 Firebird. Bumpy is right about the misaligment between headlight trim and fenders. They were never right on Ponchos of that era, I oughta know, I owned one.
It's a Datsun 240-KGT, ca. mid-70's, at least that's what was called in the Euro market, in the JDM it was known by a name familiar to some of you: "Skyline" which makes it an ancestor of the awesome Skyline GT-Rs.
Interestingly the 240-K came in two and four door form.
Does anyone know the model name for that Pontiac? It's got 4 portholes (err, stripes) on the rear chrome piece. That looks upscale to me. I got lost on model names through the years for those.
You could put a sleeping bag on that trunk and camp out overnight in the woods it's so l o n g.
isn't that a Kadette? either that, or the Manta was redesigned by the time the last US models (74-75) came along. I had a '75. What a mistake that was (only year it had FI, and they only sold about 10 in this country. You do the math).
The later Opels were made by Isuzu (hence the Opel by Isuzu name), and had nothing to do with the real German Opels.
Darn it, you're right... it's not a Manta -- nor is it a Kadett -- but I believe it's an Opel Rekord two-door, mid-seventies. Opels are numbered by letters; I *think* it's a "B" series.
I remember a car just like this when I lived in Ruesselsheim in 1976! My Greek neighbors all worked at the Opel plant and may even have been the owners of one like this that was in the neighborhood. They were quite common even in yellow or red with the black hood trim.
I worked at Rhein-Main (US Air Force). I lost touch with my hausmeister Hans Schoch who lived at 35 Hans Thoma Str and sold Thuringa insurance. He was from Bishofsheim nearby and probably still lives in the area. I would greatly appreciate it if you could try to contact him. I can be reached at hotmail.com as strapane.

Here's a hint to you all, it's from a relatively obscure manufacturer mentioned in the Inside Line news for today.
I'd much rather have a Ferrari.

I said manufacturer, not model as well!
It's an Ascari KZ1 which I first saw in PGR2 on xbox.
Me too, I'd rather have an Enzo Ferrari.

The original and best "German muscle car", ca. 70 hp of firebreathing hell.
Darling of gold-chain-wearing youth everywhere, and the butt of a bottomless pit of bad jokes in the late 80s/early 90s.
This one lives near the (former) Ruesselsheim plant; it has a Gross-Gerau license plate. Less than ten miles from my home town.

My best friend's father bought one in 1969. He thought it was a pretty cool sport sedan until I took him for a ride in my BMW 1600. :P
