    I adjusted quickly in Ireland (other than driving a car which on those roads should have been wearing a "wide load" sign). But I think it would have been unnerving driving a car on the right with the wheel on the right too. Unless I started delivering mail!

    I'd guess that passing on a two lane road is ill-advised.

    It's years since I've been in Ireland but the roads there were so quiet even compared with rural areas of Britain... Had terrible road signs though- first one five miles to Galway,second one three miles, third one four miles etc... They do have some pretty narrow lanes though - that was like Wales but less hilly...

    If you drive in a fair amount of traffic, RHD or LHD doesn't much matter.
  • qbrozenqbrozen Member Posts: 33,804
    In NJ, lanes are merely suggestions anyway. ;b

    I'd say a TVR Griffith.
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
    That's a TVR Tuscan or something like that? They have weird names. Oh, wait...that's a Griffith, isn't it? -- a re-badged TVR with a Ford V8. I just noticed the fender vents. If it's not that, I give up! :'(

    Yep, that's a TVR Griffith 400 which is, as you say a rebadged TVR Tuscan with a Ford small-block in place of the four-banger it came from TVR with. A Long Island TVR dealer named Jack Griffith came up with the idea of shoe-horning a 289 into the tiny coupe.

    TVR has changed hands at least half a dozen times since the 1964 TVR-Griffith 400 was created and the current owners' newest offering is the slick red coupe I posted which features power by a Ford Coyote 5 liter V8. TVR has probably offered more different models than any other sports car maker.

    Yup, that's a 1959 Poncho, can't tell if it's a Catalina or Bonneville from that angle.

    Yeah, the camera angle doesn't help on that Pontiac. Looking at the trim I'd guess Catalina, but I don't think Bonneville that year was over the top with chrome either, so I could well be wrong.

    No idea on that Rolls. Looks like it was carved out of a block of wood though ;)

    With that color scheme I’m going to guess it’s a Ghost. Could be the new Phantom, though.

    If only we could read the lettering on the grille.
    Pontiac = Catalina
    Bonneville = Bonneville

    Odd that the wiki picture of the Bonneville has 'Pontiac' on the other grill, along with 'Bonneville', while no other pics I've found have both.

    That pic was taken from a video called Moment of Decision! which you can find by scrolling down to the bottom of this page entitled, "Should we steal this car?" There's a pretty good look at the back of the car starting around 8:18 which might help ID what model it is.

    Keerect, it's the 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom which they managed to make even uglier than the previous version. If I saw that coming toward me I'd think it was a Kenworth or Freightliner not a big-bucks luxury car. This has to be the ugliest car produced by the BMW Group.

    The video wasn't very helpful. There was a script on the rear fin but I couldn't make out what it said. The interior shots looked pretty good so I'm guessing the convertible was in fact a Bonnie. I'd be tempted to joy ride that beautiful Wide-Tracker if I saw one someone was dumb enough to leave the keys in.

    True Confession, me and a buddy once "borrowed" a Healey Sprite for a "Joy Ride" back in the day :s

    It takes talent to make such an expensive automobile look like a kit car ordered from a catalog.

    Ahaa! The video clinches it. It is a Catalina.
    The video doesn't show a '59 Bonneville's 4 rectangles on the side.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,682
    Good eye, Omarman. I never noticed those dopey rectangles.

    Who can tell me what the little import four-door was that pulled out and cut off the escape of the culprits? If I'm right it's a type rarely seen in the USA.

    That driver should've been cited for not looking to see if anyone was coming. ;):)

    I also notice the police car is a 61 Ford, just like in American Graffiti.

    behind the Mercury (which always makes me think of the original Hawaii 5-0) is an early Toyota Corona.

    Is the light green car by the building, off the LR flank of the Red Pancho, a Rambler?

    and the bike I assume is a 60's Honda. That is cool.

    Behind the white Merc is a white '62 Chevy wagon and ahead of the Merc is a '64 Pontiac.

    That Merc is the newest car visible by several yrs.

    Yup, it looks like a Millecento to me too. The 1100 may have been the best all round car ever made by Fiat but it wasn't exported to the US so I was surprised to see it in the video
