It's a factory to dealer incentive; use it to negotiate your best price.

Just an update in case anyone is curious:

I negotiated the purchase price first, and was told no way, but when I mentioned leasing they just about matched my price for cap cost with the 1700 incentive, and brought the vehicle in from another state to make the sale. I'm not an expert but is this standard? Possibly the incentive is for leasing only?

Got a total cap cost of 18800 + 595 acquisition fee for a 36/10k, 56% residual. First month + registration at $500 due at signing.

Feel like I could have gotten 18000 + acq. fee if I'd physically walked, but we're all busy, and I wasn't sure when the lease cash incentive would end.

BTW: They said my lease was through honda financial with 10k, maybe they were just wrong and it was another financier?

There are certain parts of the country where 10K may be available. You may be fortunate to live in one of them.

Please post new lease program figures once available. Specifically EX, EX w/sensing and EX-T for 36/10k and 36/12k. Ended up walking away from a deal last night because they lured me in with certain figures, but changed them once I got there. Hate car dealers! Honestly I would rather go to the dentist for a root canal or perhaps a colonoscopy. Thanks!

Guys just wanted to make sure for a 2017 Honda Civic si 4 door is .00060 and 56% with $1,700? For Miami Florida, 33018?

I emailing a dealer where they are giving me a  MF of .00210 and 54% residual. Don’t know if this is a 2018 model, but I think they are pulling a fast one or I got a rep that does not know what they are taking about for a 2017 model.

We took delivery of a 2017 Cosmic Blue EX-T CVT Sedan for our son last Saturday after walking away from the deal on 11/30 prior. Appears they lured us in, then changed their numbers (citing the manager had made a mistake using LX residual value percentages) after being there for 1½ hours. Luckily the $1700 lease cash and .00060 MF continued on into December. Sure enough they called us back on Saturday 9am to salvage the deal. Following is the break down.

MSRP $23,170.00
Gross CAP Cost $20,470.45
Down $500.00 College Grad Incentive
Adjusted CAP Cost $19,970.45
OOP due at signing $900.00
Residual $12,978.00
Term 36/12K
Payment $214.00

College grad incentive could only be applied towards buying down the CAP cost. OOP included first payment $214.00, doc fee $445.00, MV fees $262.50, Tire tax $7.50. Not sure how this deal compares to others, but we feel we did okay overall.
