Still looking for any help on getting the MF and Residual for a 2017 Exec Demo X6 for 36 months and 10K miles. I should also add this Exec Demo has 9,983 miles on it. Thanks again.

Thanks for the info Michaell. So when the dealer told me the MF for the Exec Demo X6 was .0018 and he would by it down for me to .0015 he wasn't being truthful?

Also, I'm still working on the deal which won't happen today so assuming the .0015 and the residual you noted was for May, do you know if the June numbers changed at all? Also, is the residual calculated based on the original MSRP?

He wasn't being truthful.

The BMW programs expire today. New numbers are released tomorrow; we may not see them until Friday.

Residual is based on the MSRP - bottom line number of the factory window sticker.

Thanks kfydx! Per Michaell the May residual calculation on the Exec Demo was 58% subtract 4% plus .25/mi from the residual for the mileage. Looks like that stills holds the same for June, correct?

There are no supported lease programs for any 2016 model year BMW. Unless you can get a larger than massive discount from sticker, not likely to be any less expensive than an equivalent 2017

We do not have any CPO lease information for BMW.

However, if this is a service loaner or demo vehicle that has not been titled, it does qualify for new car lease rates.

.00151 and 55% for 36 months, 15,000 miles per year.

In addition, subtract 4% from the residual AND .25 for each mile if a loaner or demo

Hello again Michael...we are shopping for an SUV in south FL..can you please provide the numbers for a 2017 BMW X6 x35i for 36/12...also the quote the salesman gave me showed that sales tax was added to the final out the door cost, is that normal? Thanks in advance!

Let me guess - an AutoNation dealer? They love to show you a detailed purchase quote, then print some lease numbers that don't connect to those prices in any way.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost - this should reduce the noise in the quote.

Yes - new program for demo vehicles.

Over 7500 miles, the base residual is marked down 6%, plus a charge of .25/mile for every mile on the vehicle.

Has made leasing demos less attractive - push hard for a big, big discount from sticker to make up for it.

Otherwise, why lease a demo?

The reason I am looking at demos is that I put low miles on my cars every year (about 6K) so if I can find a demo under 10K miles on a 36month lease/10K miles per year I will still have under 30K miles on the car by lease end and the numbers I've run seem to be slightly better on the demo's vs. new. That being said I'd be curious to here your thoughts if you think a new x6 is a better deal given that I put such low miles on my cars.

You'd have to run the numbers for both a new and demo unit, but the difference in price had better be huge to account for that big residual drop.

The best BMW demo lease deals are for inventory with less than 5000 miles on them - then, the residual drop is just .25/mile.

Between 5000-7500 miles, 4% drop in residual PLUS the .25./mile charge

I don't see any specific language that prohibits cars with more than 10K on them to be leased, but the numbers are quite different. Regional rates for MF are in use, rather than national, and the residual is dollar based rather than a percentage of MSRP and per mile deduct.

In short, it will be tremendously expensive to lease a demo vehicle with more than 10K on it.

I don't see anything about a specific rate for the residual adjustment - we've assumed it was .25/mile.

Check with other dealers and see if you get a consistent answer.

It's always possible that higher MSRP vehicles have a higher mileage penalty. I doubt that's something the dealer has control over.

Thx guys.  I've been working with two different dealers. One had the mileage adjustment at the $.25 rate while the 2nd dealer had just came back and told me it was $.30 so I assumed they had marked it up.   Thx!!

I wouldn't make that assumption. I'd guess the dealer charging $0.30/mi. on the X6 is correct, and the other dealer hasn't done his homework on higher MSRP vehicles. (but, just my guess)

I assumed they could mark this up similar to how they try to mark up the Money Factor. But maybe the first dealer is mistaken and hasn't done their research. BTW, I'm getting close to striking a deal so a 2017 X6 Xdrive50i with the M Sport, Exec Package, Cold Weather package and Driver's assistance plus, nappa leather. Car has approx 8,500 miles and the deal looks like no money down, only drive off fees (first month payment, registration etc) with an all in monthly payment of around $895. Does that sound like a good deal?

I've been doing more research on this ...both Jaguar and Land Rover have two tiers of per mile charges for demo miles, so I'm beginning to believe that BMW has a similar program.

Do you have the MSRP and net cap cost of the vehicle behind the $895/mo quote?

There is no 7500 mile allowance available for the X6 - 36/10 is 58%.

However, do you know exactly how many miles are on the demo unit?

BMW has seen fit to make leasing demos almost as expensive as leasing new cars ....

0-4999 - .25 or .30 deduction for each mile
5000-7499 - 4% deduction, plus the per mile deduct for each mile
7500-9999 - 6% deduction, plus the per mile deduct for each mile

So, if the demo unit you are looking at has 7501 miles, the base residual is 52%, then subtract another $2250 (7501 * .30) from the residual value.

My question back to you is this - what kind of a discount would you be able to get on a new X6 with 0 miles on it? You have to compare that discount from sticker to the ~$10K you are getting for the demo unit, to offset the miles on the demo, and the subsequent reduction in the residual.

We suggest you target 7% off sticker, before applying any available incentives.

However, $73K MSRP, $70K cap cost, .00151 MF and 58% residual works out to $938/mo before tax. And, that assumes all fees are paid up front.
