Hi Michaell 

a local cal dealer is saying that VW is giving a greater incentive to dealers to sell 2017 Alltracks for cash rather than using VW credit offers. For example on an SE, they can take $7500 off MSRP if you pay cash or bring your own financing but only $5700 if I use VW for finance or lease. 

Do do you have VW cash to dealer for cash purchase numbers that would back that up?  The fact they are willing to sell it to me for cash at the lower price would indicate they aren't lying but I'd like to be as informed as possible.

We don't have that incentive info.
If you take the 0%, the dealer gets $2000.
0.9%, they get $2500
1.9%, they get $3000

It's perfectly reasonable to think they get more, if you don't take advantage of that offer.
Not much reason for them to lie about that.

If it looks like a wash on total outlay, you are better off taking the lower price and the higher rate.

Dealers in Los Angeles and Ventura County are quoting a 7500 mile lease for the 2017 Alltrack. Is this a regional thing. I'm assuming the residual is base 48%+4% which means you save money as long as you stay under 24000 miles. But waiting for one finance manager to confirm the numbers on a deal structure sheet.

I leased the SE today using a VW 7500 mile per year lease 7.5/36 with 52% residual and 0.00001 MF so the program is definitely real here in Southern California.

Residual is calculated against the MSRP - bottom line number of the factory windows sticker.

The discount doesn't affect the RV, but a lower price translates into a lower depreciation amount, making the payment smaller.
