Any update on Florida Prius Prime 36/12 and 36/15? Just left a dealer that magically had a base prime in their showroom! If no numbers yet, what are for the rest of the country and is there lease cash?

Also, is there any information regarding Toyota Financial's stance toward rebating the customer the Federal tax credit for the Prius Prime if it is leased? GM and Hyundai do it, but a dealer I spoke to said TFS will not.

I don't have any info on the TFS/federal rebate thing. If you can get a $7500 rebate by purchasing the Prime model, you'd be crazy to lease it.

Actually, the tax credit on the Prime is about $4600 based on battery size. And I spoke to TFS about it and, at least for now, they would keep the tax credit for themselves, unlike what GM, Hyundai, and Nissan do for their leased electrics/plug-ins. So it would not be a good idea to lease the Prime unless TFS changes that policy in the future.

On the plus side, the Prime MSRP isn't jacked up by $10K, like other plug-in hybrids, and their lease program is pretty close to the regular Prius.

Monthly Payment comes out to $423.67

When I do my math, monthly payment is about $350 (could be because my math is with 58% residual). Dealership saying that Toyota national (Tier 1) controls residual cost.

Any thoughts/advice? Thanks for all that you do.

I show the residual as 54%. Either way, it's definitely not 58%. The Four has the lowest residuals.
I agree with .00094 MF

Using their numbers, I get $386/mo.+tax.
