Just got back from the dealer- not impressed. My husband has had his heart on this car for years, didn't live up to the $60k price tag at all. My Pacifica is much nicer- no comparison!! Back to the drawing board .

lease offered was 2017 premier with sales price of 56000. Deal was if i put 4k down and lease would be 660 a month plus tax which is not anywhere close when i put .58 and MF of .0168 so i think the number is inflated somewhere. I was working math with MSRP of 66000

Ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is - I'm pretty sure you're missing the $595 acquisition fee and the (likely overpriced) dealer doc fee.

And, your only up front cash should be the first payment and DMV costs. Anything beyond that is at risk if the car gets stolen or totaled.

Looking at a 2017 Tahoe LT 4WD in Connecticut. Doing some homework prior to dealership and looking for Residual/Money Factor on 36/12k or 39/12k. Also, does sales tax only apply to payment amount or whole car value in CT. Thanks in advance!!

In CT, only the monthly payment is subject to sales tax.

Take your time - this is the second biggest purchase most people make. You want to have all your information collected and research completed before talking with a dealer.

Thank you for the reply Michaell!  I am asking because the dealer is showing me .00235 and 55%.  Is there any reason you can think the residual would be different on 48 months from what you are seeing? Obviously they are marking the rate up. But the residual doesn’t usually change unless trim or mileage changes.

They may be using a bank different from GM Financial. We only have those numbers.
