I went to a stealership today in Nj and got a quick quote on a Laramie 1500 4x4 Crew cab.
Msrp-$54,500
"Apr"-7% from ally (I’m assuming this is the MF which I reverse calculated to about .00291649 approx…)
I asked if there was other banks with lower MF rates and he looked like he saw a dead person lol.

Anyway I pulled up TrueCar and showed that the same truck we were looking at the dealer was offering about $11,000 off msrp and they gladly honored it (thought there was going to be a catch)

Now for the numbers…
Msrp-$54,500
Selling price-$43,320
Apr 7%<— Not happy about that
Trade in $5200 (2009 Cadillac CTS 3.6DI And lux package kbb’d at $7600)
Owe on Vehicle trading now $7,710
Putting down -$2000.00
Residual was 58% so 22,890 I’d pay and 31,610 b/o

Payments came to $552/mo for 36mo/12k miles still seemed too high. That’s with fees and taxes wrapped inside

Ally has high money factors, but also much higher residuals. Generally, a dealer will use the program that results in the lowest payment. The main drawback is your buyout amount is much higher (good for lease payment), so there is really no chance of buying the vehicle at the end of lease.

Ask for the adjusted CAP cost on the lease. That should clear up exactly what you are paying for, and will simplify your calculation.

Could be a third party lease - Ally and US Bank have completely different numbers, but large incentives to offset them. Confirm with your dealer.

Given those numbers, I get $581/mo. plus tax, either way.

Some major dealer accessories may be able to be residualized (step bars, hitches, etc), but the amounts allowed are pretty low vs. what dealers charge.

Already have the sedan. Looking for a deal on a SUV or truck now, under 1% MSRP. Sorry for all of the questions. When I first started leasing/buying vehicles I was getting completely ripped off and trying not to let it happen again.

Perfect thanks. With tax I'm about 493 then. I've got to see what else they have hiding that they didn't quote me. They claim no dealer add ons but there's some kind of fluff in there possibly because the rest of the fees shouldn't run that high.

Ask them to provide you the adjusted cap cost, and what was added to the selling price to get to that number.
