So check this out. I left pretty annoyed and pissed with the contract.

Incentives for this month of September 2017 Ford Focus SE Manual. $3500 Customer Cash + $500 for Ecoboost for a Lease and $4000 Customer Cash + $500 Ecoboost on a Purchase.

I was initially quoted this that they emailed me with.

Then they 4 squared me and what I really wanted was the write up.

Question is to lease or to buy if I can get the car flat out right in 15K. 

Next is Official Taxes and Fees, how is this determined and do I need to pay this for a lease.

Itemize cost at the top says acquisition fee is N/A and at the bottom it says $645 ...

i dont inderstand why my rebates and cash cash went to become down payment, will request a check from them for the full amount.

The lease cash can only be used as a cap reduction; it is not a customer rebate that you can get a check for.

I'd skip the $1500 maintenance plan - what does that really cover in 39 months?

If your intention is to keep the car beyond the lease term, it's best if you just buy it from the start.

They called back and said they made a mistake and will shed this deal to redo a new one.

I didn't take delivery of the vehicle. They said they messed up without knowing it was a truecar certified deal.

Will repost after I go see them today.

i kept telling them them to take off the maintenance but he was so insistent so he nearly slashed it in half to 775 and had the service every 5000 miles. I was like fine. Here was the finalized numbers.

Since you are already "buying" 71-72% of the car (and paying to rent the other 28-29%),
the lease cash had better be worth not just buying the car outright.

You have to assume a pretty big discount, as well.

If the car is $40K MSRP, and you get $12K of discounts, then you are down to the difference between 70% of the MSRP and the 28% residual. That's only 42% of the car over 36 months.

That's not enough for me, but maybe the discounts are even bigger than that?

I'm struggling with the low RV also. As of December 2017 the Houston Focus El Lease deal looks like:

$29995 List
$28685 Purchase

- $10250 Lease cash
+ $645 Acq
- $500 grad

$18580 - $8153 (RV ) = 10427 /36 = $289 month Roughly (For 36 months) + TTL

I can buy a used 2016 leaf S ( 13K miles : 2 yr/26K mile warrantee) for $14K and not have to give it back.
This is the way I'm leaning - the downside is shipping the Leaf from GA to Houston. (700 miles)

If your plan is to keep the car longer than the lease term, then buying used is probably the way to go.

Are the ranges similar for both the Focus and the Leaf?
