    .00149 MF and 65% residual for 36/12
If 10K/yr is offered in your area, add 1%

    36/12 - .00149 and 68% (XLE) or 65% (Ltd).

If 10K is available, add 1% to the residual

So Toyota in my area has a 2017 Highlander XLE AWD lease promotion of $299/mo 36 mo $4099 due at signing ($3150DP + 650 fee+ first month). Money factor is .00149. MSRP is $41,189 and residual value is $28,009. I'm new to leasing, but using calculator tools I'm working into a monthly lease payment more like $225, not $299.

Does this forum provide guidance on whether such lease promotions are truly "deals" - i.e. better than normally available lease terms? The money factor and residual % appear identical to those referenced elsewhere. Any guidance is much appreciated.

    1. We don't recommend any sort of DP for a lease - it masks the true cost, and the money is at risk if the car is stolen or totaled
    2. You may be able to do better on your own, depending on your negotiation skills.

  • Can you please let me know the RV and MF for a 2017 Highlander Limited in Boston? I am trying to determine if the following is a good deal:

    2017 Highlander Limited AWD
    Options: Rear Seat Entertainment System
    MSRP: $46,893
    36/12k
    $499/month (incl. taxes)
Only paying first months payment down
Also, the dealership is covering the last 2 payments of a current non-Toyota lease = $975

Thanks for the information. I just got the lease sheet from the dealer and she had the .00149 MF but the residual appears to be just over 72%.

    The breakdown is:
    MSRP: $46,893
    Savings: $4,693
    Cap Cost: $42,200
    MF: .00149
    Sales tax: $1,086.50
    acquisition fee: $650
    Dealer/State Fees: $524
    Customer Cash: $513
    Residual Value: $30,480
    36mths/12k
    Monthly Payment: $498

Im new here and trying to figure out if this is good/makes sense. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Residual is 65% of MSRP.

How much is due at signing? Just the $513?

  • My final offer was this for a LE plus in Red
The extra $650 in adjusted cap is the TFS...
is this good going tomorrow with wife to pull trigger

    below is GM text messages

"I am at dealer cost for the whole vehicle. The price is 34,900. The adjusted cap is 35,550. The pmt is $459 × 36 with tax at 700 down."

"3000 down at 36 month with tax included at .0022 is 387 x 36 for the red le plus"

  • Also money factor is now .0022 as they said I am tier 1 + and toyota encore? So I think that's the lowest

What does the $3000 at signing cover? We recommend you roll the taxes and fees into the payment.

    Selling Price: 34,900

    Adjusted Cap: 35,55

    Money Factor: .002

    residual: not sure guessing 68-69%.

ok finalized our deal... here are the rough numbers.
    New York Lease
2017 Highlander SE w/ winter matts
    First payment down
    3years/36k  $394 a month (includes Taxes, GAP + EWU)
Our first lease so for $360 we took the EWU--- with no money down $172 for GAP was a no brainer.

Can get more specific numbers if it helps anyone.

  • How does this initial cut look for No. NJ:

2017 Toyota Highlander XLE V6 AWD
    12K/36 mos
    MSRP 41,245
    Selling Price 40,400
    RV 66%
    MF .00120
    Inception $2,900 (TT&L + Bank + Doc)
    $448/mo.

Do the numbers look right to you? I think I still probably have quite a bit of room on the monthly (selling price). What do you think?

    Many thanks!
