Hi Sil. I am sorry to say that your ability to negotiate a good discount on the 328i Coupe that you are interested in will be seriously hampered if dealers in your area do not have any in inventory. Dealers are usually much more willing to provide good dealer on vehicles that they have on their lots than ones that they have to order. The lack of availability of this car probably speaks to the high demand for it in your area. You may want to stop by the following discussion to see if any community members have had luck getting a good deal on this car in your area: "BMW 3-Series: Prices Paid & Buying Experience".

I have been gathering a lot of information from this forum and put together a proposal based on the current .00140 36 mo. MF with security deposit and residual.
First, they say they do not use this factor and it is better for me since I don't have to put a deposit. One dealer quoted .00155 another .00160.
Second, they really didn't work with the Edmunds Invoice. I even took the invoice and added $580 macco plus a few hundred dollars. Still no dice.
My question is, does anybody know a dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area that will work within the MF/Invoice figures we all know a love here at Edmunds? Second, what would be a good lease proposal for this vehicle?
This is the car I was negotiating on today: 12K, 36 mo lease 2007 328i sedan MSRP $39,970 Invoice at Edmunds $36,815, residual $25,181.10 Metallic Sports Leather Auto Power Seats Cold Package
What's the best that you could do for a lease term on BMW 328i/328xi?
I'm looking for a 328i/328xi for roughly $550 tax in, with $5,000 downpayment or security deposit. I would like this car to include the automatic plus the sunroof. Is this possible? I'm writing here from Toronto.
I've been offered the following deal and want to verify I'm getting a good deal or if I should shop some more....
Here is the deal: 2007 328i, Manual, Sport Pkg and Power Seats MSRP $35770 (don't know selling price) $2500 drive off 36 months 12K miles $415 month (tax included)
MSRP $44,525 I Paid $41,850 36 mos 12000 mi Rate: .00165
Nothing Down/ $823 at closing
$557 a month
Black with Terra Dakota Leather
I originally was quoted on a 39 month lease, but they "didn't lock me in" while my car was being built. That program apparently expired and went to 36 months so they said they came down on the price to make up for it.
Hi, Car Man Please provide your thought on the recent deal I got from the dealership. I'm being offer a 24 month lease deal on a basic 07 328i with automatic trans and minimun options. The MSRP is $35,500. Deal detail: $2000 down, drive off, $353+tax for 24 month/12k. miles per year base on approve credit though bmw financial.
$2000 down, drive off, $381+tax for 24 month/15k. miles per year base on approve credit though bmw financial.
Carman, please post the Sep Money Factor and Residual for a 328i assuming 15k miles/year for 36 mo. If there's a 39-month option, please post that info too. Thanks!
I found these at another site. Looks like the same as last month. Confirmation from our Host here would be great!

Hi, I am new to this foram. I have a 04 525 with 46K miles. The lease is ending in November. I am thinking about buying a 328 Conv. I live in Houston, TX. Anyone who can tell me what I should expect to pay for a 3 year lease. I do not want to pay anything upfront. If anyone has recently purchased a 328 convt and can give some #s, and options they have would be great. I am looking for a premium package and automatic transmission in a metalic paint.
2007 BMW 328i Sports Wagon Base MSRP: $34,200 Destination $775 Monoco Blue Metallic $475 Automatic Transmission $1275 Premium Package $3,250 Total MSRP as Equipped: $39,975 Sales Price $38,879 NC Taxes $1,167 Documentation $398 NC Registration & Title $74 Total Investment: $40,518 Money factor: 00295 36 mos. hi. thanks. I'm sorry i must look like an idiot but could use help here. this seems high to me. can anyone tell me if this is a good deal or not? THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP!!!
Hello, I am new to leasing in general. I am a recent college grad and finally able to afford something nice for myself. I am looking into a 335i twin turbo w/ sport package winter package, manual, and navagation. I want to shop around for leases max. of 36 month and want to know what to expect for price ranges and also what to know to ask when i actually visit the dealer. I know they have little tricks.
Oh and what does residual and msd mean???
If someone can help i would greatly appreciate it. thx
Go to message #1560 in this board (use the little search for message #. . . box). You'll find a couple of links that will help you learn all this stuff.
Hi, the sales price looks high as you are paying just about $1000 less than MSRP. The wagon is rarer but for a 2007 (sure it isn`t a 2008 if ordered now - unless from inventory) I would expect around $1000 above invoice. Also I am from NC, you only pay tax on the lease payments and the money you put down so I don`t see why you are paying almsot $1200 upfront.
My 2007 328i sedan 36 months, 15K a year is $466 a year and had a similar sales price. I bought from Leith BMW in Raleigh, where in NC are you?
I am considering a lease on a new 2007 335i sedan. They are offering a 2 year lease at 526/mo with 3976 down which includes 1000 cap cost reduction, taxes and 1st payment. They say the residual is 73% and a 0.00175 mf. Suggested Retail is 44,595. The negotiated price is 43,000 for: 2007 335i Sedan / Metallic/ Leather/Cold/Premium/AT Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
07 335xi sport/premium/cold weather/ipod package/automatic trans/metallic paint 2000 down 1750 off sticker (approx 49k) money factor of 0.0019 3 yr 30k lease approx 635 mo with taxes included.
For those looking, the 335i leases out better than the xi with a buyrate of 0.00175 and same residual, even better rates on coupes....especially the 328's.
FYI for those that have a tough time negotiating, a costco membership gets at least $1500 off sticker, and try and stay firm on the money factor at 0.0019 ("buyrate"). When leasing, raising the finance rates is probably the single most common way of inflating your payments. Sure, they'll sell you the car at 2k off the sticker, but they'll tack on the maximum allowable percentage to the money factor (0.0004).
If there were 2 options that I would consider a must have, it would be the ipod package, and the sports package, everything else is gravy. I'm also sure that those in bigger markets can get a much better deal then I recieved, however I would hurry as the 07s are moving well with the discounted lease reates.
Cheers, Getz
P.S. I can't express how much I love the ipod package (option 6FL). Make sure they give you the USB cable at no cost, as you already bought it!) (edited for spelling)
My dealer wants me to put deposit on 08 328i convertible. I asked him about leasing and he said the dealership usually marks up the MF rate by .002. Does this mean I should calculate on a 24 month lease a MF of .00330? (per september MF rates)
Can someone tell me if I have done the correct calculations:
'08 328i Convertible MSRP $47,395 same price to buy since they won't negotiate 24 month lease, 12k miles a year, 75% residual, .00330 MF I come up with:

Hi there. Would anyone care to check my math, so I can make sure I'm getting the correct deal? 2007 335i, sports, premium, nav, ipod. MSRP = $46,900 Sales Price = $44,395 36 month/15k 61% residual .00175 MF CA, so 8.25% tax. By my calculations, my monthly should be $612.97, or with 7 MSDs, $574.24. Is my math correct, and is the price decent ($700 over invoice including a MACO).

Is this a good deal? We negotiated over email. I think it is a good deal and about to take the plunge. Just want to double check. Thanks for the help.
Does anyone know how to check the true BMW Bank Finance fee that varies from dealer to dealer. In NJ I was given prices that range from $625 to $825 and both times told that that price doesn't depend on the dealer and is set directly by BMW bank
Getting the same car plus Sirius radio for $39070. Given the fact that radio retail for about $500 and invoice for $450; I guess it's a good price given the very few 2007 left on the market. If you have extra cash to give multiple security deposits you can lower your money factor to 0.00101 or roughly by $35/months
From what I have read on this and other forums, BMW Bank acquisition fee is $625 and the dealer is allowed to mark it up by up to $200, which equals the higher $825.
Is the "destination charge" listed on the BMW website when one purchases a vehicle the same terminology as the "acquisition fee" on my BMWFS leasing contract? I believe it is, but want to verify.
The destination charge is part of the MSRP (and, it's on the invoice, too). Supposedly, it is to provide transportation from port to dealer, but really, it is just a way to break down the price of the car, so the base price seems smaller.
The acquisition fee goes to the bank that is leasing you the car (BMWFS). Sort of like an origination fee for a mortgage lender.
The base acq.fee on all BMWFS leases is $625, but the dealer can mark it up to as much as $825 for extra profit (for the dealer).
Oh... so the acquisition fee is a charge one only pays for leasing, but not buying.
So one must figure up to $1175 in fees unique to BMW leasing if one must pay the "full" $825 acquisition fee (as many dealers seem to insist on the max.) plus the $350 "disposition fee."
I think I see where the "free" maintenance comes from on the leasing end. Heh! Heh!
I have somewhat limited information and am hoping you can tell me whether this deal is worth it...
I'm currently leasing a VW with a balance of 17K. KBB says it's worth $14K.
I got a quote from BMW for a used 2007 328xi fully loaded with premium package, steptronic transmission and 5K miles selling for $38-39K. Dealer says payment will be at around $550.
I'm confused as to how the dealer figures the monthly rate? Do you have a lease model you can share with me that can help me sort through the numbers?
Any thoughts????....this is what I was offered? -2007 Black 335i Coupe, with Sports Package, Paddle shifters, black leather (not leatherette), heated seats, Jet black exterior. MSRP is $46,000 with options

Yeah, I've been to London and I find a lot of things there are more expensive than in US. However, in general, the quality is better.
Yes, U are absolutely right about the 328i coupe. It's very popular in LA area and here's the best deal I found so far ~
MSRP $40600
Selling price $39600 ( $1000 off MSRP )
36 months
15K miles
$1000 drive off
$634 per month ( tax included )
What do U think?

I got the car from New Century BMW. You can email me if you need more info.
This is the car I was negotiating on today: 12K, 36 mo lease
2007 328i sedan MSRP $39,970 Invoice at Edmunds $36,815, residual $25,181.10

What's the best that you could do for a lease term on BMW 328i/328xi?
I'm looking for a 328i/328xi for roughly $550 tax in, with $5,000 downpayment or security deposit. I would like this car to include the automatic plus the sunroof. Is this possible? I'm writing here from Toronto.

I originally was quoted on a 39 month lease, but they "didn't lock me in" while my car was being built. That program apparently expired and went to 36 months so they said they came down on the price to make up for it.
What do you think??
Please provide your thought on the recent deal I got from the dealership.
I'm being offer a 24 month lease deal on a basic 07 328i with automatic trans and minimun options. The MSRP is $35,500.
Deal detail:
$2000 down, drive off, $353+tax for 24 month/12k. miles per year base on approve credit though bmw financial.
$2000 down, drive off, $381+tax for 24 month/15k. miles per year base on approve credit though bmw financial.
Should I shoot for more discount?
Thank you

hi. thanks. I'm sorry i must look like an idiot but could use help here. this seems high to me. can anyone tell me if this is a good deal or not? THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP!!!
I have a very similar setup but I'm coming in much higher, on an '07 328i manual, sport and power seats, take a look:

If I could get proof or confirmation from another dealer, my dealer would match it.

BMW 328i
MSRP: $36420, sparkling graphite metallic paint
36 month lease, 12,000 miles per year, $3000 due at signing...$415 per month
what do you think?
2000 down
1750 off sticker (approx 49k)
money factor of 0.0019
3 yr 30k lease approx 635 mo with taxes included.
Cheers,
Getz
P.S.
I can't express how much I love the ipod package (option 6FL). Make sure they give you the USB cable at no cost, as you already bought it!)

Can someone tell me if I have done the correct calculations:
'08 328i Convertible MSRP $47,395 same price to buy since they won't negotiate
24 month lease, 12k miles a year, 75% residual, .00330 MF I come up with:
$47,395-$35546= $11,849/24= $493
$47,395+$35,546=$82,941x.00330=$273
$493+$273= $766 + tax per month
thanks for any help

Thanks.

So one must figure up to $1175 in fees unique to BMW leasing if one must pay the "full" $825 acquisition fee (as many dealers seem to insist on the max.) plus the $350 "disposition fee."
I think I see where the "free" maintenance comes from on the leasing end. Heh! Heh!
Thank you, KYFDX!
Thanks so much
