How does a factory order work with the lease rates? Since lease rates can change from month to month, do I get the MF/Resid at the time of the order or at the time I pick up the car? Is there some sort of a lock period for the rates like in a mortgage?
HI Just got some quotes: 2009 G37X: $35,326 selling price/MSRP $39,465/Premium package and wood trim $419 per month $2550 at sign in includes taxes(8.75) and all fees Residual: 55% Money factor: .00125
2010 G37X: Same equipment as above $450 per month $2700 due at sign in includes taxes and fees Residual: 60% Money factor: .00189
I would definitely talk to Infiniti Financial Services first and see what kind of rates they offer. Another good place to get auto loan rates is bankrate.com. Here's a link to their auto loan page.
Here is the deal I just got using a VPP level B 2010 G37Sport 6spd manual with the included options of the sport.
12k miles, 39month MSRP= $38300 VPP= $34382 $413/month including tax MF= .00171 residual= 60% $1409 total down includes 1st month, bank fees, and the basic stuff. This is at www.sawgrassinfinity.com in South Florida.
IFS will not re-negotiate. However, as you stated $21,500 is a good price for your low mile sedan, so you should buy it....of course for about the same monthly payment you could lease another new G37 with upgraded engine and transmission....
Great question. You get the MF & residuals at the time your vehicle comes in and you pick up the car. There is no lock in period. However, the incentives usually get better as time goes by....
Hi Can you tell me the money factor and residual value of a 2010 Infiniti G37X sedan with the premium pkg and the navigation? 2010 MSRP: $40,915 Invoice: 37,635 Lease length: 36 months or 39 months Miles per year: 10K or 12K
What is the money factor and residual value? Any new dealer or consumer incentives as the 2009s inventory is getting thin?
First off, Do not EVER deal with Ifiniti of Tysons corner in Virgina. They played every dirty trick in the book on me, bait and switch, good cop/bad cop, kept me sitting there for hours etc. That being said I did get the car I wanted but not at the price they originally told me.
monthly payment $501.93 up front money $1526.80- first months, acquistion fee, tags
This wasn't any better deal than I saw anywhere else and I think the fees were high. They originally told me selling price of car was 42,500, then tried telling me they forgot to add in destination charges. They had the only black/black 6mt so I bought it anyway. However, was the scummiest dealership I ever dealt with. This is the first non BMW I ever bought and when I should be happy about my new car I have a bad taste in my mouth.
I'm not sure how many people perpetually lease from Infiniti, so this question might be best for one of the hosts. Are the money factors 1/2 of what they were in 2007? Our lease is coming up, and we are looking to lease a 2010 model. I'm amazed that our monthly payment could actually go down $50-60, for in my opinion is a much better car.
Also, I've seen a lot of people quoting the .00175 money factor for the VPP plan A. Is everyone in that situation a Nissan employee (or part of a plan C or D company)? Or is this financing open to the general public for a short-time?
I picked it up this Sat, 2009 G37X 4DR w/Nav 12K miles Cap cost 36,099 msrp 41,230 factor .00125 term 39 $448.00 w/NJ tax 7% 1st months, bank doc etc 1600 out of pocket
Plus they're paying for my last payment on my old lease $485
Thx for the reply. Indeed, there is no negotiating. The finance manager indicated if the cars are turned in, IFS sends them to auction. If they don't fetch the specified price, they have insurance which pays them the difference, so there is ZERO incentive for them to deal with anyone on buyouts. FM says they can't get cars direct from IFS so it's not the ideal situation for the dealers either.
I'll likely buyout at the stated residual value. I don't need the newer model, can afford the buyout price and would rather not have payments in the future (horrors, is that allowed?)
Hi folks, New to this so bear with my ignorance. Checking out getting a G37X and weighing buy/lease. bbyanks you have a car similar to what I'd be interested in. Appears you made a leasing deal I'd be interested in (but would need a few more lease miles.) May I ask your location? I'm in Jersey. Also I'm curious about the program where you put $4500 - 4900 down but "get it back" at maturity. Did you have to do that? Any input from bbyanks regarding the pros and cons of that plan? Any input welcome. Thanks much.

I am looking to lease a G37 convertible with premium package and navigation, I have been getting rid of cars every 3 years on average and it seems to be a better deal to lease than to buy. I of course am looking for the best deal on a lease. I see all these figures with residuals and money factor and blah blah blah. In the end I just figure out the total cost (monthly fees x the lease length + money down = total cost to drive the car for 36 or 39 months) Is this not a good way to figure out if it is a good deal? Why is buying or leasing a car such a pain in the [non-permissible content removed]?
Greetings sbleiweiss. Infiniti Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 G37X Sedan with 10,000 miles per year are .00175 and 62%, respectively.
The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a 2009 model are .00105 and 57%.
I am not intimately familiar with what the market is like for this car right now, but if I was interested in getting one I personally would shoot for a selling price of $500 to $1,000 over invoice minus any available cash incentives.
Hello lwv. The $2,500 dealer cash that Infiniti is currently providing on the 2009 G37 Sedan is not compatible with its special lease program, but the $1,000 bonus cash incentive is.
According to the latest information that I have seen, Infiniti Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a base 2009 G37 Sedan with 15,000 miles per year are .00091 and 55%. The 12k residual is 1% higher.

Thank you. I have been talking with them, plus Greenwich Ct, plus Manhattan. The deals from all of these dealers is becoming very competitive given that it is the end of the month. Also, I did not know that one of the differences between the 2009 and 2010 sedan is that the 2010 comes with a back up camera if you get the premium package while the 2009 only gets a back up camera if you get the navigation package.
Any thanks for your feedback and good luck with the car.
All of those figures determine the cost of the monthly payment. If you know all of the #'s(residual, MF), it is just a matter of plugging them in to get the monthly payment. The only unknown is the cost of the car(cap cost). Most people can get the car for about $500 over invoice not including any dealer incentives. Leasing is a pain in the [non-permissible content removed] because someone who does not know what they are doing and focuses only on the monthly payment can get ripped off by the dealer.
Right but I'm looking at my total out of pocket to drive this car for 36 or 39 months everything added together (minus fuel, and maintenance, etc..) From what I see its around $21,000?
Based on a purchase price of invoice you will probably be around $600 + tax per month. There are probably dealer incentives to get below invoice though. You seem to be in the right ballpark though.
Leasing is a really good option right now due to the VPP discount. It gets you Invoice pricing less 3.58% And you still get to use certain discounts, like Lease Loyalty and some Dealer disc I just closed a deal on a 2010 M35 with Tech Pkg and Splash Guards MSRP was $50,120 Purchase Price is $40,010 I'm doing a 39 Month lease with 15k miles per year I rolled all the upfront fees into the lease, they added up to $1,361 Total Cap Cost was $41,371 Monthly Payment with tax will be $500 Total cost for 39 months will be $19,500 That's an awesome deal for a $50k car All I'm paying at closing is my first months payment Leases are not hard to do, you just have to know the MF and RV
all done! black on graphite, prem, nav, sport, few random accessories, 10k, 36 month trade in 10.5, owe 11
200 below invoice 1000 drive off (includes first month)
$564/mo res is at 64% instead of 62%.. they tweaked that number..
was no reason to keep it at 39 months as i originally had it. 3 extra payments + payment for dmv for full 4th year = $2200.. approx $20/mo for 36 = $900...
I had asped abt vpp... was told only applies to purchase.
Sounds like a nice ride. I'm curious why you opted for 36 instead of 39 months? The payments usually come out cheaper on a 39 month lease because the residual is usually only 1% less on a 39 month less but it's spread over 3 additional payments.
Deal included -586 for my trade (i owed 11,086, they gave me 10,500) First year dmv fee included.
39 months with $1000 drive off = $537/mo for 38 months
36 months with $1000 drive off = $564/mo for 35 months
Amount paid for 39 months 21406
Amount paid for 36 months 20740
for 39 months you end up paying for dmv for 4rth year even though you drive just 3 months. True amount paid for 39 months (dmv renewal @550 for year 2, 3 and 4) 21406 + 1650 = 23056
True amount paid for 36 months (dmv renewal @550 for year 2, 3) 20740 + 1100 = 21840
The 36 gives me a good even 3 years and saves $1,216.. just in case i get tired of the car by the 2nd year
if you wanted to look at true /month at 39 its 591 / mo and at 36 its 606 /mo (this included dmv fees, drive off factored in)
Ah it's the DMV fees that make the 36 month lease cheaper than the 39 month. Your DMV fees are ridiculous. I'm glad NY isn't that high and registration has to be done every 2 years so whether you lease for 36 or 39 months, you'll still have to pay twice. If you didn't have to pay the ridiculous DMV fee then $666 ($21406 - $20740) for 3 more months isn't bad.
Dealers are really trying to offload the last few 09 Sedans left. Does anyone think I can do better.
I received the following quotes this morning, in NY.
39 Month, 10K per year. Sign and drive, DMV fees only.
G37x Sedan - Base, sunroof only - $449 per month G37x Sedan - Base plus Premium - $459 per month G37x Sedan - Base Plus Nav and Premium - $499 per month
Should I hold out longer, or do these prices seem like about as low as I am going to get? I think this weekend is probably the last good deals left, before February incentives are gone.
