Also rates for a demo please

Depends on how many miles it has.

I believe 0-5k is leased as is 5-7k is 4% off residual and 7-10k 6% off correct?
    no lease cash?
5000-7499 is 4% residual reduction plus $0.25/mile reduction
    7500-9999 is 6% reduction plus $0.25/mile reduction.

Incentives disappear at 5000 miles. It take a huge discount to make one work for a lease. (which could still happen)

Could you please post Feb residual & MF for 2018 X4 M40i in Atlanta (30022). I've been quoted 61% res & .00192 MF. Seems kinda high?

    .00152 and 61% for 36/15.

MF is marked up the max allowed.

the Feb .00152 & 61% for 36/15 is that nationwide or specific to region? I'm in the Chicagoland area.
    what is the MF/RS for 36/10 & 36/12?
Also, when you state the "MF is marked up the max allowed" what exactly do you mean by that?

    BMW numbers are national.

    64% / 63% for 10K / 12K

The dealer is allowed to mark up the MF for extra profit, to a max of .00040. Your dealer has done that.

Can you tell me how much I expect to pay?
its a demo with 1000 miles

    msrp 68195
Online list price is 53000 I assume they dont go lower then that..

i dont want to put any money, so all bank fees reg and stuff will add to the 53k

its only 1k miles so i should get loyalty and extra cash if any.

    I want 36 mon and 10k

btw i am trying to lease out of state but i live in cali, so cali tax should be on it. Thanks in advance

    $2000 lease credit
    $1500 loyalty
.00152 MF and 61% residual (minus $250 for mileage)
If I use $51,425 for the adjusted CAP:
$414/mo.+tax, with just first payment due at signing.

Something tells me the $53000 includes every possible incentive, already, and only happens with maximum markup to the money factor.

when you say maximum markup to the money factor, what is it? .00192 is usually the highest I have seen or what is the maximum?

My wife drives 30k miles per year. Is there any scenario where a lease with extended miles makes sense?

If so, What would we be looking at for a payment on a 2018 X4 28i in CA. I would try and minimize the out of pocket expense as much as possible.

    Thank you for the calculation!

    What lease term?

Would need to know the MSRP and selling price.

Whatever the payment is, the extra mile charge is going to kill you. Check with the dealer to see how the extra miles will affect the residual.

Might be better off buying something nearly new, where someone else has paid for the initial depreciation.

Thank you for your quick response. A friend suggested 48/10k and asking the dealer to extend the warranty for a year. I didn't think 48/10k was a good idea.

The residuals are way low for anything beyond 36 months for BMW.

If you're looking for a certain payment, you may want to start with a vehicle with a better lease program --- or, a lower price.

You should probably check with the dealer, to see if they have some sort of high-mileage lease program, that might be different from the typical lease.

list price to be sold is 51980 and wont discount it further
what would be the monthly 36/10 if they use .00156 and 57% as this has 6000 miles on it and .00192 and 57%
    0 out of pocket

    Thank you!

    .00156 MF = $477/mo plus tax
    .00192 MF = $510/mo plus tax

Be advised, that in addition to the 4% deduct on the residual, each mile is deducted at .25/mile as well, or another $1500 off the residual. This will add another $35-40/mo to the pre-tax payment

whats awkward I dont understand? Are they maybe marking up bank rates or other stuff?

You aren't getting the right numbers; notice that the price breakout at the top says "Purchase Option" - those don't apply for a lease.

What you want the dealer to provide you is the adjusted cap cost, and how they arrived at that number from the AutoNation price.

And, get them to disclose both the MF used and residual percentage used in their payment quote.

They just told me 580 a month 3k out of pocket,  51,359  cap cost with 2995 out of pocket
whats awkward I dont understand? Are they maybe marking up bank rates or other stuff?

Now I pushed and they sent me this, but with 477+ tax and suppose add that 1500 on top it brought us to 520 a month plus tax is about 570 a month with 0 out of pocket not 590 a lonth with 1300 out of pocket whats strange? Are they adding tax on top and residualizing thats why?
You aren't getting the right numbers; notice that the price breakout at the top says "Purchase Option" - those don't apply for a lease. What you want the dealer to provide you is the adjusted cap cost, and how they arrived at that number from the AutoNation price. And, get them to disclose both the MF used and residual percentage used in their payment quote.
Ok please see this now and if it makes sense, they are saying that they use .00156 and 57%

what would be the monthly 36/10 if they use .00156 and 57% as this has 6000 miles on it and .00192 and 57%
    0 out of pocket

    Thank you!

    .00156 MF = $477/mo plus tax
    .00192 MF = $510/mo plus tax

Be advised, that in addition to the 4% deduct on the residual, each mile is deducted at .25/mile as well, or another $1500 off the residual. This will add another $35-40/mo to the pre-tax payment

They just told me 580 a month 3k out of pocket,  51,359  cap cost with 2995 out of pocket

    It’s not good.

MF is marked up the max - .00152 is the base rate

Negative equity adding over $100/mo to the payment.

demo miles subtract 4% from residual, plus $2200 deducted from the residual for the miles.

Please update the calculation, Residual is 38605 because of the extra 6100 miles

also what is the total fees that I have to pay to get that payment im sure aqu fee doc fees and all the extra stuff are not included, what would be the breakdown of those extra fees to get to that payment?

I get $521/mo with the updated residual value, before tax. With 9.5% tax added in, I am just a few cents off the payment you are quoted, so I believe all the fees are either part of the cap cost or part of the $2000 drive off.

I am trying to figure out if the deal I am getting from my local dealer is good.

    MSRP $55,495
    Sale Price $49,999
    Loyalty discount $1,500
    BMW Finance credit $2,000
    MF 0.000151
    Residual 61%
    Sales Tax 8.75
    Down $5,000

36 months with 10k per year.

I was quoted monthly payment including taxes $430.

    .00156 MF
    61% residual

I wouldn't put $5000 upfront, but the deal looks pretty good.
With $2000 upfront, the payment would be about $520/mo.

    That's good for a $55K+ MSRP vehicle.

If it has already been titled, it is not eligible for the new car lease programs.

can you please provide me with a break down of bmw drive off fees without them being marked up

Is the first month payment calculated in the drive offs? or just ac fee bank fee and registration?

BMW dealers are not allowed to mark up the acquisition fee - it's fixed at $925.

We recommend you pay the first payment and registration fees at contract signing; roll everything else into the monthly payment

Can anyone advise or guess from experience and tracking for bmw if next months residual would get better? I tracked last year for the 2017s residual was 64% yet this years its been 61% and 2019s come out in 2 months? Hassled to a sweet deal that I am about to sign and this went on my mind, went to the 17 section and found it to be mostly 64%

my deal is 69500 msrp woppin 19500 discount to selling 50k 1500 out of pocked 470 with tax 4k miles demo..with 64% ill be saving another

Residuals almost never go up, as the year progresses.

If the residual was 70%, you'd save even more, but that isn't what it is.

I was presented with this deal today, I feel as if it could be a lot better, in your opinion what would be a appropriate deal. Btw the car is 2018 model, but it has 8k miles

A loaner with 8000 miles loses 6% off the residual, minus another $2000.
So, while the discount seems huge, it just can't make up for that $5300 residual reduction.

That deal isn't really any better than what you should be able to get on a brand new unit.
