Residual value is set by the bank. It should be the same, nationwide, for the same trim, term and mileage.

The money factor we give is the base money factor. It's the lowest possible for top tier credit. Dealers can mark up this number for extra profit (that's what you have to watch out for)

Residual value is set by the bank. It should be the same, nationwide, for the same trim, term and mileage. The money factor we give is the base money factor. It's the lowest possible for top tier credit. Dealers can mark up this number for extra profit (that's what you have to watch out for)

I got a quote last night for one that just doesn't quite look right. MSRP is $55,585 but they're saying the selling price for a lease (including dealer discount & rebates) is $42,835 - which seems great, but the payment is still nearly $700/month with Tier 1 credit. Something's not adding up!

Supposedly that WAS through Chrysler Capital. I think they either mis-spoke or did the math wrong... with this MF and residual, even using full MSRP my payment should be around $650 at most. With about 10% off MSRP, it would be around $500. I've double-checked myself 5 times!

Just a heads up on the hellcat models to the guy who posted and you guys monitoring the thread the gas guzzler tax cant be residualized therefore you must subtract 1700 out of the actual msrp and use that as your new msrp (so in this case the msrp is not 73,325 but actually 71,625 and probably causing the selling price to be lowered as well to roughly 61k-62k

You sure the selling price doesn't already include the lease cash? Have you confirmed those numbers with a dealer?

As is, the pre-incentive prices given calculate to $559/mo, before tax.

If I subtract the $4500 from the selling price, the payment drops to $429/mo, plus tax

You should get the adjusted CAP cost from the dealer, and how they arrived at that number from the selling price.

It's likely that the selling price you were given is not compatible with the Chrysler Capital lease program. If the dealer is quoting money factors and residuals, you have to find out which bank.
