Premium plus with Tech package and Sport package MSRP $50,520 - Selling price: $37,320

$3000 drive off and $490+tax per month payment. Is this a good deal?

Hello,

This is another deal I am getting:

Premium plus with tech package - MSRP $48420. Sell price - $43,000 - rebates $8K, final sell price $35K. Drive off $3K. 36M/15K - $475+tax per month payment - zip code 94588 (dealer claims to be using 0.0003 as MF).

If put these numbers in the leasehacker calculator I get $454 plus tax. Could you please help me understand which is the right number? and if this is a good deal?

I agree with the math, but I wouldn't put $4000 down on a lease.

What does the $2400 in taxes represent? CA taxes the monthly paymennt (item 25). The incentives are subject to tax, but at 9.25%, the $8000 would only be $740.

I'd ask them about that.

That helps, though I've never seen the "VLF Fees" before.

You can roll all those taxes and fees into the monthly payment, if you want. If the car is stolen or totaled during the lease, you'd lose that up front money. We recommend just first payment and DMV costs be paid at signing.

VLF fees are the DMV fees
As noted, roll the acquisition fee in, and decline to make the extra $1000 CAP reduction. Yes, that will increase the payment.
Don't roll in DMV fees, as those are non-taxable, and become taxable, if they are within the payment.

The "Total tax" is an informational line, letting you know the total sales tax paid upfront and over the life of the lease. That number is not part of the calculation.

Based on what you are seeing out there, is the final sell price a good one? (As that is the only element left that I can negotiate any further - everything else is pretty much standard/no room left I assume)

Correct, you can pre-pay for the excess miles, up front. I think the rate is .15/mile

Is the 3500 market allowance a taxed or untaxed incentive? Why are some of the lease deal structures I see showing MFNG rebate of 8002 but then a much smaller number towards cap cost reduction. Am I missing something?

Could be using some of that incentive money for fees and/or taxes.
