  • Hi, very helpful thread. What's the money factor and residual for a 2018 WRX limited with eyesight package and automatic transmission in Northern Virginia?

Received a quote for WRX above with an MSRP of about $37,400, cap cost of $34,500, money factor of .0007 for 36 mo/12k mi per year. Taxes came out to roughly $3,500, then theres a $699 processing fee and a $595 acquisition cost. The residual was 53% or roughly $20,030 which seemed really low. Is this a good deal?

    .00020 MF and 53% residual for 36/12.

Dealers can mark up the rate by .00050 for extra profit.
$699 processing fee - extra profit
$595 acquisition fee - standard fee from SMF
Aren't VA taxes just 4.17% of the full price? If so, that's only about $1500.
Unless you are in Maryland? Even then, $3500 isn't right.

Yes, WRX residuals are low.. but, you can't fix that, other than to shop for a different vehicle.

The above quote says .00085 for the same car (limited STI with wing) does the 10/39 vs 12/36 effect the MF too?

Yes, different lease terms for Subaru have different MF values.

Lease numbers on a base STi at 24mo/10k miles? I've heard that the 24mo numbers aren't viable, but I'm curious what they are. It seems that when the 2017 STi's came out the 24mo residual was as high as 81%!! Do you think it will go up again this summer with the new model year?

Is the 36mo the best lease deal on the STi?

.00240 and 67%; not likely to go up as the year progresses.

36 months is the sweet spot for Subaru.
