I purchased my Azera Limited Ultimate 2 weeks ago completely on-line. I used the E-bay Store listing referenced above by Charles12 above. It was an OUTSTANDING buying experience! The only thing that could have been better was if the salesman would have parked it in my garage for me!

The sale was priced as follows:

    Base Price $26,765.00
    Rebate - $1,000.00
    Doc Fee $125.50

    Total $25,890.50

The best price I could get locally (Bloomington, IN) was $1,100 higher and I had to accept what they had on the lot in the wrong colors. So instead of paying more for something I didn't want, I drove the 400+ miles to Great Lakes Hyundai in Streetsboro, OH (Cleveland area). The salesman even offered to pick me up at the airport if I flew in. It was quit amazing when I arrived - 12 Azeras awaiting delivery lined up in the service center. 2 for IN, 1 for PA, 1 for TX, 1 for FL and that was just two day's deliveries!

I had my doubts when the whole purchase started because (based on the Edmund's wholesale value) they were losing money at this price. But that E-Bay purchase was for real and well worth the trip to Streetsboro. Everything they told me was honest and they dealt straight from the very beginning. None of the old car dealership haggling. Their only caveat is that you have to make the purchase over the web (E-Bay or e-mail). I will be going back shortly for a Santa Fe when the 07's come out later this summer - I'm that sold.

25,500 for an Azera Limited. This appears to be lower than all the prices I've seen, including those I've seen quoted on this thread.

I am baffled. Hearing a dealer make an opening offer for a price lower than anything I researched was the last thing I expected. Is there something I am missing here? And what kind of counter-offer should I consider in such a case?
  • sundevilssundevils Member Posts: 100
Does it have the Ultimate package? Was the car used as a dealer demo (how many miles are on it?)
  • nynewcarnynewcar Member Posts: 89
No, we didn't want any of the (very few) offered options. The standard features list is pretty comprehensive and certainly enough for us.

As far as being used as a dealer demo, I didn't ask! What answer would I be hoping for to that question? If it is, is he obliged to disclose that fact?

The color we want was not even displayed in the showroom, and I guess that's why it didn't occur to me that he might be quoting a car that was used as a demo.

Your quote of $25,500 for an Azera Limited without the Ultimate package is not that good of a deal. I paid $26,000 and got the Ultimate package.

mrnext1 I read all of the threads here and I purchased my Azera from the same dealership that you did. As a matter of fact the one car you saw waiting for pickup for Florida is mine. The one waiting for PA is a friend of mine we are going to get them together. I did a lot of research and the best prices is at Greatlakes hyundai in Ohio. I recommend them to everyone.

What was your dealer's opening offer?
  • sundevilssundevils Member Posts: 100
$26,000 was both mine and the dealer's opening offer. It made the negotiation easy.

Last week I finally made my purchase of an Azera with Ultimate package. Thanks to all the info from everyone I finally was able to make a good deal here in NC. I called the Great Lake Hyundai dealer in Ohio like I had seen in other posting and they truly were the best price by far. Their price was $1,137 below my best local price of($27,530) There offer was $26,393 before tax and local rebate. I was prepared to fly to Ohio and drive the car home for this price. I called my local dealer in Winston Salem NC, and told them I was prepared to purchase from an Ohio dealer unless they could match the price of $26.393 before a $500 rebate. They agreed to match the price of $26,393. When I went to close the deal they refused to honor the $500.00 rebate telling me their price was $26,893 less $500 rebate = $26,393. I argued till I was tired of arguing that they should provide the $500 rebate and the final price should be $25,893 with rebate. I left the dealership mad and did not purchase. The next day I decided to go ahead with the deal as I was sick and tired of arguing over $500, as it would have cost me $350 to $400 to go fly to Ohio to purchase the car and drive back to NC.
To be honest I was happy with the deal and wanted to put this ordeal behind me. I now have 380 miles on the Azera and really love the ride. The Pearl white with Tan is a beautiful combination.

I have been looking at the Azeras and decided to go to my local dealership in Anaheim next to The Pond, and I brought with me the ebay listings for the dealership talked about in prevoius postings. I walked into the showroom, asked for the internet manager and gave him the MSRP and sale price. I told him I wanted the one with a MSRP of 30080 and a sale price of 26,817. He went in the back and in a couple minutes said that if I bought one that was on the lot, he would give me that price plus all rebates. I ended up wanting a color combination that they did not have, but regardless they found in less than 20 minutes in Long Beach. So bottom line, 26,817 sale price - 1000 rebate - 400 College Grad Discount = 25,417. And it is an Ultimate package with sunroof wind deflector. Sounds like they would give this type of deal to anyone. Gread thread and thanks for the info.

I really appreciate Edmunds effort and visit the site regularly before making a new car purchase. I find that the forum is the most useful tool for me as it has real life experiences with the auto and pricing. Frankly the TMV pricing has never reflected reality for me and I have always been able to do much better. Maybe it would be a better and more accurate tool if the TMV price was fluid as is the real price one experiences in the marketplace. Thank you Edmunds for a vey useful site overall.
  • averigejoeaverigejoe Member Posts: 559
What do you mean by fluid TMV price? How would that work? How would that fluid TMV price be determined?

after 2 months of research and investigation, i thought i would have to go to great lakes hyundai in streetsboro, oh to purchase my new azera. although i live in florida, my daugher and family live in western pa and we are going there next month anyway, so it wouldn't be a great stretch to go there. however, after visiting hyundai of new port richey (near tampa) i made my purchase there. their internet sales group is outstanding, providing fast personal service and the most competitive pricing i found. and fyi, i visited 7 different hyundai dealers in 3 states in my decision making process. my golden beige azera limited with ultimate package plus wind deflector, at $24,850 was $876 less than streetsboro's ebay offering. my trade was $600 more than any other dealer offered me and what i considered a very fair offer. after sales tax, doc fees, etc, i am out the door at $27112. definitely recommend everyone contact hyundai of new port richey before making a final decision, especially if it involves travel to pick up your car. you may find your savings will pay for the trip and a dinner out.

Here in Denver they are advertising the limited including rebates around $23,000. Nice little discount, also 0% financing. I plan on getting one when the gold boom expires in a few years.

    jhamm,
I think you did get a good deal. What the other person didn't realize is that he was comparing a Premium package (the eBay car) with an Ultimate Package (your car).

The Ultimate Package is more expensive.

I just bought a Black Azera Limited with the Ultimate Package (package 4) with Beige Leather seats.

I got several quotes from dealers via the internet ranging from $25,945 - $27,500. My final decision came down to color, availability and convenience. I don't think the dealer that quoted me the lower quote price had the car and I would have had to wait 2-3 days. I didn't have the time to wait. I think if I would have waited, I might have gotten a car for around $25,850, but I think that is about the floor............

My deal (I'm in Southern California)
    $26,200 + TTL
I was $28,700 out the door.

I did a very hard comparison between the Azera Ltd Ultimate with various trims on the Toyota Avalon. In the end, my gut still says that the Avalon is the better car (overall smoother ride (although the backseat of the Azera is comparably as smooth as the Avalon), no hesitation at all on acceleration, Toyota brand is stronger and will probably hold its value better). BUT, in spite of that, I couldn't bring myself to spend the extra $4-$5k to get the Azera Equivalent. Azera is packed with great features at a great price. I don't need Navigation System so that made the comparison even easier. Also, the Toyota warranty was substantially less than the Hyundai warranty...and, the Toyota dealerships simply don't deal with you as much. They only discount their demo cars. They also didn't offer me any aggressive financing...which makes me feel like Toyota is saying, "Take it or leave it. We don't need you."

I ended up asking myself, is a 12-15% smoother ride worth $4 - $5k? My answer was no. Besides, my wife is short and the adjustable pedals in the Azera sealed the deal for her. I fell in love with the Avalon's reclining rear seats...but I ended up ignoring this feature since I remembered that my backseat will have 2 car seats.

The Azera is a beautiful car. I'm very impressed. Can't wait to tint the windows. So far, there are only two big annoyances (and I knew about them before I bought the car):

    1. No ability to change radio stations on steering wheel.

    2. The trunk lock/unlock configuration is really annoying.
(There is a trunk release button the drivers side. But, it only works when the lock is "off" in the glove compartment. Well, when the lock is "off" the trunk remains unlocked and anyone can walk up to the trunk and open it without a key. So, you have to remember to "lock on" the trunk via the glove compartment everytime. Its actually really, really annoying for a family with strollers, gear and stuff.)

But, it wasn't annoying enough to change my mind.

Little wind noise at high speeds, but around town this car is very quiet in the cabin.

I'll post more on the car in a few days/weeks. I've only had it two days.

    Hi there,
    New guy here.

Bought 2006 Limited, powder white pearl paint, beige leather seats, wind deflector, tinted windows, 17" chrome wheels, Michelin tires, 02 pkg.
From Groppeti Hyundai in Visalia, California (559-733-3325)
out the door price $30,756.26 and they kept the $1000 rebate. So I reckon its actually $31,756.26 out the door.

    MSRP was $29,280
Dealer added tint and chrome wheels & asked $31,379

They wanted $1200 and change for extended bumper to bumper.
Passed on that, did not see the need.

    Test drove the
    Nissan Altima 2.5
    Lincoln Zepher
    Kia Amanti
    Toyota Avalon XLS
    Honda (big white sedan)
    Nissan Maxima
    Hyundai Sonata
    Chrysler 300

    Checked out the
    Toyota Camry 2007
    Buick Lucerne & LaCrosse
    Pontiac G6 & GTP
    Cadillac CTX & STS
    Mercury Milan & Montego
    Ford Fusion
    BMW 325i 2006
    Dodge Magnum

Of all the cars, Zephyr was in the running until discovery of Zephyrs 3.0 engine and 6 speed tranny. We frequently go over the hills and mountains to Reno, Palm Desert, San Fran, Orange county and Minnesota.

Amanti lost due to its Premium fuel and the "old guy" look. My wife really liked it though.
The Avalon was perceived as an "old guy" car also, very nice but not ready for it yet.

Azera is a nice compromise between "old guy" luxury and a still youthful sportiness (hot rod wife).
I'm 56 and can enjoy some "plush" in my life now.

Last new car I bought was in 1984. Wife last bought a new car in 1996. Catching the shell game dealers practice daily is tough to see when its not part of your livelyhood. Tried the COSTCO buyers thing and was disappointed by the games played at Selma Auto Mall. Couldn't get a price quote without actually being face to face with them. They said it was a COSTCO rule they have to abide by. Basic model was $29,000+ out the door. Had to sit at a table with the salesman while they looked for the invoice. Took them 2 1/2 hours to find a invoice. I was paying cash. I refused to give them SSN and credit history for their records since I was paying cash. They said it was for Dept. Motor Vehicles verification.

We are up to 409 miles on the Azera now and so far all is well. I am getting the mud flaps though. The 17" wheels with Michelins are wider and kick up the road crud pretty good. I'd recommend all to get them as the wheel well doesn't flare out much like other cars.

I like the little triangle shaped window aft of the rear doors, adds larger view when backing up. Also the channel seeker on the steering wheel is a good idea but it's not a deal breaker.

We kept coming back to the Azera and discovered we were using it as a standard for other cars to match up against.

The best bang for the buck in our opinion is the Azera.

    Thanks - Just wondering,

    realtoradam, sundevils, & azeraowner-

I'm also in the S. Cal. area & looking into dealerships to purchase from.

Did your sale price also include an advertising fee of $500 & Inland & Freight fee of $660? I have been given a price of $26,485 for the Limited w/Ultimate excluding these costs & the $1K rebate? Did you negotiate down these costs or are you obligated to pay them--especially the advertising fee?

    Thanks for your help!
  • sundevilssundevils Member Posts: 100
I bought mine at North County Hyundai in Carlsbad. My price for the Limited w/ Ultimate was $26,000 plus sales tax (7.75%) and DMV fees (about $400). There was no advertising fee. I am not aware of any rebate being offered at the time that I bought (late May).

I wish I could give you the name of my salesperson as she did a great job. I first made contact with this dealer via the internet.
  • azeraownerazeraowner Member Posts: 8
My price included delivery fees. I think Advertising Fee is horse-manure, although, I'm not a dealer so I really don't know. I'm a small business owner and can't imagine charging my customers for the right to advertise my product.

My buying experience, and based on what I've read on this board and a few others, is that you should be able to get your Ultimate w/Limited for about $26,000 (plus Tax, Title & License). No additional fees. This price should include the $1k rebate (but that supposedly ended July 4th). I was quoted as low as $25,945; and I think I could have gotten it for about $25,850 (I believe this is about the floor for most dealers).

The only way you'll get a lower price is if you are a Hyundai owner and you get an additional $500 loyalty discount (if you can prove you are a hyundai owners) or if you are in the military in which you qualify for an additional $400 discount. Although, once the 2007's come out, i'm sure they'll give these away. I havn't heard any rumours as to when the '07s will be released. Probably not until end of year.

$26,485 is a decent price. But you could do a little better. Just call around the dealerships and be honest about what you are being quoted and ask them to BEAT it (not match it).

I'm recently offerd $27,800 for Limited w/Ultimate package and $26,500 for Premium. I'm not sure this is reasonable as OTD Price paid by cash. Do you think I can get lower price if I try to negotiate down these prices?
Plus, really Ultimate option is worthy of $1,300?

    Aaron..
  • sundevilssundevils Member Posts: 100
27,800? Ouch! You shouldn't have to pay more than 26,000 for the Limited with Ultimate package. Keep trying!

    Aaronh,
You must not have read the posts listed on the same page that you posted on. I, and a few others, discuss - in detail - what we paid, etc. Did you read any of these posts before you wrote on this board?

Get the Ultimate package...its worth every penny.

    anyone-
    from Chi Town-

Limited, no adds, msrp $26835 plus dest $660 or $27,495

    Dealer asking $23,300, $24,811 invoice less $1000, less$500 loyalty.

    is this for real?
  • louie7louie7 Member Posts: 22
took plunge today, base limited, msrp $27,495, my cost before TTL $22,511, plus they threw in leather protection,$249 value.

Here, is a little trick, you all won't see anywhere, walk the lot pick out a color combination they do not have on the lot. When you walk in to buy, ask for the color combo they do not have, they will try to get you to take something on the lot, obviously not your first choice, they will discount to move one of there own.

I "wanted" black with beige, they gave me $800 to take the black with charcoal interior off their lot. Dumb as a fox.

trying to not get hosed on Sliver/Black 2006 Azera Limited w/ Prem pkg. Dealer quoted "best final offer" of $25,805, plus sales tax; plus $399 Dealer Conveyance fee.

I even showed them prices from this forum as well as e-bay. I think I should pass, but don't want to wait until 2007's come out or fly out of state to buy. any options that don't require either of these? :confuse:

    Thanks!

I was offered 25,300 in NY for the azera with the prm. pkg. I am trying to get them to drop it another 1000-1500 but they are not going for is this a good price or should I look eles where.

Good price. Can I ask...who is the dealer?
  • drummer13drummer13 Member Posts: 13
I'be been reading all the Azera areas here for many months. The input so many of you have given has been fantastic. I've danced with a dealer to the usual music, but have not bought, yet. I have shared that information with you fine folks. A huge concern I have is RESALE. There is a very good chance you will take a pretty good beating on resale. Therefore, it is imperative the buying price be driven very low. My guess is $5k or more, easily. The car buying public is not ready for a Hyundai that approaches $30k. Hyundai should have badged this car as "Azera"...create a new line like Toyota (Lexus) and Nissan (Infiniti). Like many others who post, I find myself thinking of buying a new grill to get rid of the "H". It's not really meant to disparage Hyundai. I think buyers want this car to get the respect it deserves. For $26k, there are cars with more stable resale, especially as we approach the end of model year sales.
  • king123king123 Member Posts: 14
Azowner, You both did fine, I bought my black/beige limited/ultimate for $26,200 in mid-may in Glenview, Illinois. That was and is a good price... in my humble opinion...King.
  • sundevilssundevils Member Posts: 100
If you change your car as often as you change your underwear then resale is a concern. But if you keep it for awhile then it doesn't matter. After about seven years virtually ever car's resale value plunges off a cliff.

And if you are buying a new car more frequently than every seven years then I can only assume that your mortgage is paid, your kid(s)'s college education is full funded, and your retirement accounts are maxed out. In which case, bravo!

Thanks folks for so informative infos here. My time now:
Went to Bob Lewis Hyundai coz I saw an newspaper ad. The ad was published yesterday & I did not see it until this morning. went there and 1st saleman searched the parking lot for me and could not find it and told me it was gone. As I started to leave, I suddenly found an Azera in a bunch of sonatas, and that was exactly the one in the ad. The 2nd saleman greeted me and we went into the business. To my surprise there was no BS at all (coz all were printed in the newspaper).
    Model: limited ultimate
in the ad: 30080- 4000 deal discount - 1000 rebate
As a hyundai owner I got another 500 off
So I paid for 24580+TTL = ~27000 out the door.

The odo showed 160 miles when I got it, probably been tested quite a lot. The overall experiences are pretty pleasent, however, they would not agree to put my requests of ez-out, auto-lock & limp-home in the contract. I'll go to their service dept next week see if they can do those for me for free. I'll give the dealership an A+ if they do.
The salesman keep saying that they were losing money on this deal and I do believe him. Hey nothing is cheap in CA!

Bought my new Azera Limited with the Ultimate package for invoice minus the 1000 rebate, the 500 Hyundai owners loyalty program and a 200 internet rebate. Tried the Coscto program at another dealer and they wanted 800 over invoice.
I bought at the servicing dealer for my 02 XG350. It was a no hassle process. They produced the invoice which was consistent with what I had researched on the web. They deducted the rebates and discounts, gave me the selling price and only then did we talk trade. I knew the trade in value and their initial offer was a little low. When I asked for the Kelly Blue Book value they agreed immediately. They didn't have the color we wanted, Steel Gray with Gray Leather but got the car I wanted from the Coscto dealer within three days. It was the most pleasant buying experience I've ever had buying a car. :)

Late Sept of 05, friend of mine writes, need a car that won't be in the shop every day, drive approx. 150 mpd (miles per day), any ideas?
Sent him to look at the HHR, to small. Sent him to look at the Sonata LX, drove it around for an hour or two, drove it home.
Some ten months and a few thousand miles later not one complaint or problem, absolutely loves the car.

We wanted the Powder White Pearl LX back in Oct of 05. Color would not be available until new year, we waited.

In late Dec early Jan we saw the new Powder White Pearl Azera, Beige leather, Ultimate Pkg. Absolutely beautiful, we were hooked.

The local dealer gave us a price plus added dealer cost of $2k that would let us buy it from him.
We didn't do that, we went on line and used the internet sales managers from four different Hyundai dealers in the area.

    Here's the breakdown;
    1. The local dealer, above, was totally out of the ball park.
    2. Dealer #2 was about $950 below.
    3. Dealer #3 was not even close, lied about inventory and had $1,200 added on for paint protection, mud flaps, wheel locks and a trunk mat plus $1K for added dealer cost.
    4. Dealer #4 (Universal Hyundai, Orlando) replied to our request within 30 minutes of sending the e-mail. Asked if I had any other offers.
We wrote back, told him we wanted 'out the door' price and XXX was our best offer so far.
This dealer came back at $2.5k below dealer #2's price which still needed TT&T.
We bought from dealer #4, no advertising costs, no dealer mark up. When they preped the car they did a four wheel alignment and a bunch of other good stuff. It took about 60 minutes to close the deal when we got to the lot.

I'll only buy from the internet in the future, we drove off for under $27k.

It's been in our stable for some 17 weeks and 3,800 miles.

Not one problem of any kind. We couldn't mark many spaces on the JD Powers report because there was absoultly nothing wrong from day one.

The dealer did the seat, limp home and door locks for free as covered in the quick ref guide in the glovebox.

Don't over look the 12/12k adjustment waranty. It covers many things and four wheel alignments for free.

Enjoy your Azera's, they are awsome and SMOOTH.

So, after all rebates and incentives, but not including tax, license and title, what was the purcahase price? And what was the manufacturer's suggested retail price on the sticker including shipping?

The deal written above your post was between 81% and 82% of MSRP. I'm wondering what deal so far is the very lowest % of MSRP.
  • corvuscorvus Member Posts: 1
Bought an Azera from Auffenberg in O'Fallon IL.

Azera Limited w/Ultimate Package - $26500. They let me choose any on the lot (they had 8 or so).

MSRP was $29,995 before accessories. I believe invoice was 27145 before accessories (24151 base, 2334 ult, 660 freight).

According to Consumer Reports, the existing dealer holdback was about 1.85%, so I expected to pay about 1.15% more than invoice, or $27450. Add the $1000 cash back, and I'm at 26450.

Wheel Locks and Wind Deflector added $125 to MSRP from mfr.

Dealer added pin striping ($200), tint ($150-$200), security system ($300 or $400), fabrigard ($200?), and auto butler ($600). Couldn't justify $600 for 9 more waxes, and made plain my feelings about dealers throwing $1500+ of stuff on vehicles. Auffenberg is a huge group (14 or so dealerships of various brands), so they just run all of their vehicles thru the same fabrigard/auto butler process when they receive them - it's just their version of prep work.

Overall, the accessories we ended up with was striping, security, tint, wind deflector, and wheel locks. Not bad for $50.

Their initial offer was a bit higher. But the wife also had an internet quote from Suntrup in St. Louis for $99 under invoice. At that point, Auffenberg gave me the $26500 offer. I guess I could have saved $450 or so, but I used the wife waiting for me at Suntrup to get them to hit my target for the trade-in. At that point, I didn't want to head to a different dealership and end up with a trade valued lower.

    OTD: $28318. Sales Tax $1661, documentation $57, title/license $100

The financing lady tried to sell me on a $2000 warranty package. That's right - $2K for a 7yr/100K miles bumper to bumper with $100 deductible. Of course, that only kicked in after the standard 5yr/60K mile bumper to bumper. I remarked "So, basically it would be useful if the A/C goes out at 75K miles". She promptly told me that it would be around $800 for an A/C. I guess it would make sense to take the warranty if I expected the A/C to go out 3 times in 40K miles ($800-$100 deductible). The pkg also included oil changes for 4yr/48K miles, which *could* be valued at about $500, but it's really just to get you into the service dept for the $200 15K mile service. Of course, rather than tell you how much it would be up front, they try to put it into X dollars a day so that it doesn't seem like such a rip off. I can imagine it now to some poor slob: "Isn't protecting your investment worth $1.25 a day?".

Overall, very pleasant car and buying process - UP TO THE TIME I got to the snake oil salesman hawking a 40K mile warranty. Perhaps if it was a 12yr/200K mile B-to-B warranty for $2K, I would have taken it.

Note - they also had a 2006 Sonata LX w/Premium Pkg for $20745 after the $2500 rebate. It also had $1200+ worth of dealer accessories. Almost got it, but decided that we would want the top of the line if we plan to keep it for 10-12 years.

One final note - Bank of America had the best rates I could find at 6.2% for IL and excellent credit scores. The entire app process is done on the internet. Even the branch said that the app process is done via the internet (which they would help you with if necessary).

The warranty that you were presented with is not the Hyundai extended warranty. My dealer tried the same crap - pimping an extended (non-Hyundai) warranty with a deductible.

Insist on the Hyundai Protection Plan (that is the official name). It comes in a couple of flavors: Advantage (6 year, 75K miles) and Advantage Plus (10 year, 100K miles). There is no deductible and it is fully transferable to next owner.

How much do the Hyundai Protection Plan Advantage and Advantage Plus cost? I'm assuming that the Advantage Plus is less than $2000, otherwise you wouldn't have said anything, unless the deductible is better too.

There is no deductible on any Hyundai extended service plan. You should be able to get the 10/100 plan for no more than $1,000 (probably less). Any Hyundai dealer can sell this to you ... just call/email around.

I bought a 2006 Azera Limited, with the Ultimate Package, with Pearl White Exterior Paint, with the Beige Leather Interior, and with the Carpeted Cargo Mat, four days ago.

I negotiated everything by e-mail with the Internet Manager of the dealership before ever setting foot in the dealership. This is the first time I've ever purchased a car this way and it sure beats all the hassels of having to deal with a showroom salesperson. I reviewed this forum for weeks before I began my purchase negotiations and found the information in this forum very educational. So, I've decided to share my purchase information in hopes it will be helpful to others.

This is from the MSRP sticker:
    MSRP - $26,835.00
    Ultimate Package - $2500.00
    Carpeted Cargo Mat - $90.00
    White Pearl Paint - $200.00
    Freight - $660.00
    Total MSRP - $30,285.00

Here's what I paid (out the door):
    Cash Price - $27, 160.88 (compared to the $30,285)
    Processing Fee - $249.00
    State Sales Tax - $822.30
    Dealer's Business Licence Tax - $54.32
Dept. of Motor Vehicle Fees - $49.50
    Total - 28,336.00
    Less Mfg. Rebate - -$1000.00
Less Loyalty Rebate - -$500.00 (I also own an XG300L)
Out the Door Price - $26,836.00

I also get free oil and filter changes, including labor, for 5 years / 60,000 miles.

I also get a free loaner car for any mechanical breakdown repair and all of the major servicing that's required for the car like 15,000 mile service, 30,000 mile service, etc. for as long as I own it.

So, how does this compare to what any of you have experienced?

Oh, yesterday I took the Azera back to the dealership service department to get the automatic door locks programed the way I wanted them and to have the immobilization code programmed into the car. This took about 20 minutes, while I waited, and no charge.

After doing a lot of online research, and learning a lot from these excellent forums, I've decided to buy an Azera with the ultimate package. I am now looking for dealer recommendations (and/or dealers to avoid) in the northern Virginia area - Fairfax, Alexandria, Manassas, Springfield, Woodbridge, etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum and that asking for dealer recommendations is not verboten. :)

    Thanks in advance, Bill

Went to the Hyundai dealer (famous football player lets them use his name) today in Denver. Looked over the Azera for the second time.

Really need the 10 year/100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty so I inquired about the price. The salesman said it would only cost about a $1 a day. I responded that I needed to know what that would be in real cost--$1000 or $1500, etc. He said they (management) do not tell them, but that it would about a $1 a day increase.

Left that dealership in a hurry.

    Will do my shopping elsewhere.

Anyone know how much the Azera insurance costs are?

    Thanks, Brad

I don't have my insurance policy in front of me but I was very pleasntly surprised at how little my insurance went up when I bought my Azera. I use AAA for auto and home insurance. My Azera has full coverage; the 14 year-old small truck I dropped had no collision and comprehensive. I expected the premium to increase about $1,000. It only increased about $300.

    Frankly, I don't believe you.

Your OTD price sounds too low by about $1000+.

To make you feel better, the projected residual value for the Azera is really good. In fact, the improvement in Hyundai's resale (whole lineup) value has increased quite a bit over the past few years. And, it would only keep going from this point on, borrowing some horrific events (which is unlikely).

We'll see in a few years, when used Azeras are transcated and changed owners.

I just brought home my black with tan interior Ultimate/Limited. I bought it at Fred Beans in Doylestown PA. Very nice to deal with. I paid 25,700 plus tax and tags ($77), and a $55 documentation fee. I also had them "throw" in floor mats (now I am looking for something to cover them, wind deflector, wheel locks and cargo mat/tray.

The key to negotiating a deal is to shop around and get some pricing via the internet from other dealers that if push comes to shove you are willing to buy from.

I'm sorry you don't believe me, however, everything is factual and the OTD price is exactly what I paid.

Sold a 2000 tiburon, i had purchased new, listed for $5400, received a bunch of calls, sold $5000. In 2000 paid $15,000, 1/3 after 6 years doesn't seem to bad.
