RE: 359
No, you did not hurt my feelings. It is just that I am a bit sensitive about the clunk. I had researched the Azera to the nth degree and even test drove 3 Azeras. All 3 test drives were on smooth pavement. Then on the second day of having the car, while driving to work, I discover the dreaded clunk. Since that time I have battled with Consumer Affairs over the issue as well as the district parts and service manager. As far as the service manager at the dealership he and I have a very good relationship. I struggle with the question "how could I have missed this" because had I noticed the clunk during a test drive I would have never bought the car. Battling with Consumer Affairs has been exhausting and as far as the clunk, I know . . . its just not right.
My apologies to you.

Mid-November I checked with Comsumer reports (paid the $39 for 3 months of car bargaining info) and then the dealer offered me about what CU suggested I try for, so I said OOOKKKAYYY!!! :surprise:
Since then, I read here that my $27,600 out-the-door for my Azera Limited with Premium pkg (which included tax, title, license and wind deflector) was only average or a little high!
No problem!
We all want to get to the end of this problem, and correct this sound.
My hope is that enough owners' voice their complaint, the company will take the problem more seriously.
Clearly, if the problem is not corrected, it will hurt their sales, as well as reduce the resale value of the model.
I believe that there are still plenty of 06's available. Used 06 Limited's are going for about 20K.
Please post it.
Happy holiday.

I don't remember the last time that I used the spare tire in any of my cars. The trade off of the improved steering wheel audio controls and the lighted side view mirrors, as well as having a one year newer car will help resale value.
Some manufacturers have gone to "donut" spares not only to save cost but to keep weight down and increase interior space and improve MPG. I'm not aware if the truck space has been reconfigured and will still accomodate a full sized spare.
If it were me, I would go for the 07
The steering wheel controls and the lights in the side mirror (if equiped) are very worthy and the redesigned instrument cluster is cleaner and easier to read.
The spare can be addressed if you want to spend the money on an extra rim, the space is still there to hold it.
Got my 2007 Black/Black Limited Ultimate 1200 miles ago for
26,457 + ttl
My only minor quibles are:
1. cannot eject any other disc than the one "playing" and cannot listen to another at the same time you are ejecting or loading. Small I know but something easily engineered like in my wife's Mercury.
2. Plastics on insode of doors retain smudges a little to much, I am worried that they will not wear well.
3. Fog lights should be a different shape, maybe more like projectors as the squared off lenses look out of character from the rest of the car.
4. you should be able to leave the "computer screen" blank as an option above the odometer.
so far, that is it.
I love the car and am so very pleased.

Thanks for you input, I think I may go get the '07 today, white with black interior. I was not sure I would like the new instrument cluster as much as my '06, so thanks. I also noticed on my '06 that scuffs from my shoes did not off totally and I think I may try applying some kind of protectant to them while they are still clean, maybe a synthetic automobile wax.

If you press and hold the eject button for 5 seconds or so, you can unload multiple CD's. If you want to eject say 5 of 6 in the deck, simply hold down the eject button, then hit load when the fifth ejects, and #6 will stay in.
If you hold the load button for 5 seconds, you can load multiple CD's up to all 6 at once.
However, the real problem is not being able to LISTEN to #1 while ejecting #5. You are left without music during the whole operation.

And they tell me that I should be more patient.
Yes we did. And yes they are starting to thin out but there were a lot of 06's. I think it was just a first year luxury car mindset. I saw a lot of people come back to buy 07 models even tho they were more money just because they didn't want to buy a first yr model.
I do hate buying cars but Suntrup showed me the invoice, gave me the 1000 discount, the 500 dollar customer loyalty discount for buying another Hyundai and a 200 dollar internet discount. They gave me exactly the Kelly Blue Book on my used XG350 and all I had to do was ask. It was a pleasure to buy a car that way without all the games.
I made my mind on Azera Limited w/ Ultimate.
I don't really care whether it's 06 or 07.
What do you think the reasonable price would be for each year model?
I went to a local dealer's website and they have internet prices for each stock they have. Does it mean that they will guarantee that price for a specific vehicle? or is there something else to it?

I live in Northern Virginia. Any good dealer to recommend?
Thanks!!!
Good Luck...go with 2007
I bought my 07 Sonata from Fred Beans in Doylestown and was just there for service and saw a good amount of 06 Azeras on the lot. May have been them but I honestly cannot remember. At that price, I would certainly by an Azera over my Sonata any day without hesitation.
I'm sure if you call around, it wont be to difficult to find the deal as they all want to rid themselves of 06 autos.
Good luck
You can deal with them 2006 Se model under 20K.
I paid 28900 including all the taxes and fees.
Just a little over 27K for the car itself.
I'm not sure if I got a good deal.
My dealer was Manassas Brown's Hyundai.
we have 2 right now left. one blue and one white
of course were not in PA were in NH but whats a few hundred miles for a great deal
MPG is similar to mine. I have spoken with dealer, and he reports that most customers are getting similar numbers.
I can't uderstand how some owners are reporting numbers in the high 20's, unless they are going downhill all of the time.
I am not averaging 19 MPG. More like 17, although much of the driving is local.
Thanks for the tip, but I am too lazy and have learned to accept the milage.
The Q45 Infinity that I sold ( big car, with big 8) got better milage with same type of driving.

Did I do good? I went in 1/31/07 around 7:30pm and drove home at 10pm, wasn't quite expecting to do that. I have to give praise to my wife's negotiating skill, I would have settled for 1k more.
I got my 06 SE base for $22400 OTD
I just re-read my post and it sounded like the 23500 included all the listed. It does not, it should have read:
23500 includes 1000 rebate only! Add tax,tag and license. I did not include the OTD price as originally requested above.
As noted, I (Wifey) made the deal and drove home that night, apparently they wanted to free up inventory.
