    Also, for example, if APR is .4%, MF would be .4/2,400 = 0.000166 is that correct?

    I leased a 2017 Ford Focus SE 2.0 Sedan in August of 2017 for 36 mo and 10,500 annual mileage. I currently only have 4000 miles on the vehicle. At the time of turn in, if I decide to purchase another vehicle and my mileage is less than 31500 for 3 years, will I have any equity to apply towards a new purchased vehicle?

    Not likely. You purchased miles you aren't using, which doesn't change the contracted residual value.

    You can take your car to a CarMax and see what they offer you as trade value, but leases are not generally written to put you into a positive equity position.

    @Michaell first time poster. What would you consider a fair deal on an 18’ Focus ST, end of October, 0 down, 12k/year in San Diego? TrueCar seems to drop their pants, assuming I’m financing. $26k-28k car for right around $21k without tax. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    What lease term?

    The lease program on the ST is pretty dismal, and the TC price likely includes incentives that are for purchase only.

    $0 down, or $0 due at signing? They aren't the same thing. In CA, we suggest you pay the first payment and DMV costs only at signing.
