It is so much pleasure to ride the car.
Yes, they are standard options of Limited.
I'd say my driving pattern is about 15% highway, 85% non-highway.
How do you like your new Veracruz? My husband and I looked a couple tonight, but wanted to know how current owners feel about them. It is a very attractive vehicle. We have 3 children and are wondering how the 3 row seat works....being that they 2nd row seat needs to be folded down in order to get to the 3rd row. Please let me know what how you are doing with your new Veracruz, any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Judy
Anyway, I have a liquid silver SE with the leather premium package. So far, I need a new wiper motor, there are scratches on the chrome around one of the windows, (they're replacing that also) and I haven't mentioned the flaw on the dash that is lighter than the rest of the vinyl. (or whatever the material is) Although rather small, it still irritates me to no end. I've also noticed that after having driven it for awhile, the leather seating area on the driver's seat seems to be flexible or loose. This may be normal also. Don't know. I just hope I don't have to do an initial quality survey. This is our third Hyundai in the family and the first one that's had any problems.
The second row does not need to be folded down in order to get to the 3rd row. There is a latch at the upper corner of either side of the 2nd row, which will allow for the second row to be moved forward for easy access into the 3rd row entry and exit.
Many parts like this are available to be imported from Korea for install. There is nothing available yet at Korean Auto Imports yet, but if you look at all the parts available for the new Santa Fe, I'm sure there will be.

There are a few comments that reveal their take on this vehicle.
The Veracruz is another wow vehicle from Hyundai—as in “Wow, this is really good,” and not just for a Hyundai.
This begs the question: Who would pay $30,000 or more for a Hyundai? With the Veracruz, the better question might be: Who wouldn’t?
Enjoy!
My Veracruz is now a month old and I do not have any problems with my leather seats. I recommend that you get the dealer to rectify this problem. Why else id many of us pick Hyundai, because of the warrenty of course.

Thanks so much!
Thanks again!!
I noticed a small quarter size discolored area on the passenger side of the dash. It's a little lighter then the rest of the black dash. I was going to show it to the dealer hoping that they could touch it up so I wouldn't notice it. However, I ran my hand over it the other day and it's more then just a light patch. There's actually an indentation in the dash. Perhaps it has something to do withe the air bag. Has anyone else noticed anything like this?
"New and redesigned model launches often demonstrate high initial quality, which may dispel the myth that quality always suffers during new-vehicle launches, according to the J.D. Power and Associates."
That was written back in 2003 - link.
Note the word often in there - ymmv.
Maybe reviews like this will encourage more people to at least look at the Veracruz; that has been a problem for Hyundai in general:
When a group was shown the [Veracruz] without any identifying logos on it, 71% said they'd buy it. Once the Hyundai logo went on, however, that dropped to 52%. In the same research, a Toyota logo lifts intent-to-purchase by more than 20%.
