so I was supposed to pick up my new 2019 XC60 T6 MOM on last Monday and the dealer called me Saturday saying there was a "recall" on the strut that they had to fix before I picked it up. He calls me again yesterday asking when I would pick it up acting like he didn't owe me a call back.

I'm now seeing there is a change in allowance on the T6. Could he have known about it and was playing games ti up dealership profit? I can find no mention of this recall on Volvos site even when entering the VIN.

My deal was good, not great. with zero down 39/12 on $55, 500 MSRP I was at a 589 payment tax inc.

Any thoughts on this?

As I am first time into leasing , I have negotiated the selling price with the dealer but haven’t told him yet about my potential desire to lease. Are the incentives different for leasing VS buying. Ideally my selling price should not change whether I leaseback or buy, is that correct ? Also what all should I add to selling price as other charges for the lease calculations .

I can't see last month's incentives.

My last post showed incentives increased by $750 on the T6 in the NE region.
But, MF and residual haven't changed.

But, the dealer wouldn't have known that six days ahead of the new programs.

What's the MSRP of the vehicle in question? That's a large trade-in so I'd consider having them cut you a check rather than rolling that much equity into a lease. If something happens to that vehicle, that's a good way to make $9.5k disappear in a hurry.

I'm within a few dollars on the math (most likely due to my estimating your full tax rate) on your deal. Seems like a decent discount from MSRP, but I'll reiterate that you should strongly consider not rolling all that equity into a lease contract, or at the very least having it apply to MSD's so you don't lose it if there's a casualty loss on the car.

I agree with this ^^^

The trade equity just masks the true cost of the lease - $9500 over 36 months is over $250/mo.

Would you pre-pay rent on a house or apartment? Same thing - the idea behind a lease is that it's pay as you go.

Had a pretty weird experience. I went to the dealership today with the numbers above, asked them for the lease details ( without revealing the above numbers).
