Thanks - the dealer is quoting me 44% for the 39 mo residual and giving 1,922 discount (5%) on top of incentives resulting in $515/month with ~2000 due at signing inc. taxes. Car has MSRP of 38,448 but overall this seems like a pretty poor deal but dealer doesnt seem too interested in bargaining and is trying to steer to A4.

Is the A3 just a bad lease choice? The 3 series and s60 seem to be much more attractive even considering the slightly higher MSRP

It's definitely 45% residual for 39/10
But, I did make one error: The 39 month money factor is .00030. .00010 is only for the 36 mo term.

Most Audis are poor lease candidates, right now. I don't see any way to overcome those low residuals.

The Acura TLX also seems to be leasing well.

Also, it includes a 2-month pull-ahead for my previous lease (2016). Is the pull-ahead a good idea?

Only if it's an Audi approved pull ahead program. Lots of dealers use the term, but simply add the remaining payments to the new deal.

You should ask the dealer to provide the missing information.
