The MSRP is $48,380 and invoice I'm estimating from other stickers is probably around $45,380. Should I be negotiating selling price from invoice even though there is $4,100 in lease cash already coming off of the price? Any tips would be appreciated. I'll also be trading in a car worth around $13K how should I go about this? I know you shouldn't put a lot down on a lease, but it's so tempting seeing the monthly payment on 24/15 with that amount down is only like $170/mo from my calculations on Kia's website. Even $254/mo on 36/15 is tempting. There's a good possibility that we would want to buy the car at the end of the lease, but my biggest concern is if the residual is high my payments are going to skyrocket after lease end. If I put $13k down and finance for 6 years the price is around $550 and I just don't want a payment that high for 6 years. Like I said this will be my first lease so don't kill me for asking about the money down situation haha. Just need some advice for a newbie!

Great, thank you. It's not so much that it's too expensive, I pay $514 for my truck now, I just would rather have more cash flow each month but we will see. When they calculate residual value is it off of MSRP price or is it after they take off the $4100 incentive? Wanting to do the calculations on if we did buy after lease and financed the remaining what my payments would be. The residual value is what I would have remaining to finance after lease correct?

To calculate a payment, you need the MSRP and the selling price.
Yes, lease cash + loyalty are rebates, applied as CAP cost reductions

I'd pass, and either find a different vehicle or wait until the transaction prices come down out of the clouds.
