I've been searching for a vehicle in TX for sometime now and none of my local dealers is offering a good lease on GLS 450. Does anyone have good suggestions on deals out of TX? Willing to deal with an out of state dealer with better rates. My local dealers MF is too high and not very accommodating with incentives.

Even if you buy out of state, you'll be responsible for TX taxes. If you can't roll them into the payment, that's a big hit to the wallet when you go to register.

There is a generally accepted guideline that states that your lease payment should be 1% of the MSRP - however, not every car will lease for that type of payment, based on the program.

Audi, in general, has worse than average lease programs, compared to other makes.

Not really. In order to get a "good deal" you first must understand the bottom line cost. You need to find out the Money Factor (e.g. interest rate charged on balance), along with contractual residual value at the end of lease. With that plus an understanding of the invoice price, plus any other dealer incentives from the manufacturer, you can work backwards to determine what YOU think is a fair profit for the dealer. of course the dealer might not agree and thats where the line for negotiations exists. The amount a dealer is willing to accept as profit will vary from dealer to dealer, and month to month. Its like buying anything else in life. In general, try to wait for end of month and slow times of year. Also, watch out for manufacturer incentives. Those are real and work to your bottom line. Be mindful that some manufacturer incentives are "hidden" and given to the dealer not the buyer. Knowing they exist (when they do) helps a lot in negotiating a better price. Good luck
