    Hello -

    I've never leased before, but I'm interested in leasing an Evoque R-Dynamic SE (around $63,000 msrp, zip code 63141).

    I currently have a trade-in valued at roughly $23,000 and am trying to determine if that will cover the majority or all of a 36-month lease. Assuming the trade-in covers the lease or I pay the difference in cash, the MF should be 0 right? Also - from what I understand, I would only pay sales tax on the difference between my trade-in and the residual value?

    Is there concern that the dealership will try to include fees that shouldn't be included on a fully paid lease? I'm a little worried about catching everything since I'm a leasing novice!

    That isn't the way that a pre-paid lease works.
    Even if you pay all of the depreciation upfront, the bank has still purchased the vehicle for the full selling price, and there are still finance charges.
    On a single-pay lease, the money factor is reduced by a certain amount. Not sure of the amount of reduction you get from Chase Bank, but the dealership should be able to tell you. A single-pay lease is calculated in the same manner as a normal lease, but with the reduced money factor. Then, the payments are added, and that is your single payment.

    Fees? I don't think there are any fees that would be different from a normal lease.

    I'm not certain of how MO ascertains a trade-in credit on a leased vehicle. Some states allow no trade-in credit, as you are not the owner of the leased vehicle.

    What annual mileage allowance on the new lease?

    Ah, thanks for clarifying! I believe MO does allow trade-in credit on a leased vehicle, from what I've read.

    I'm looking to do 15,000 for the annual mileage limit.

    Assuming no sales tax, and a money factor reduction to .00051 for single-pay.
    $3000 discount from MSRP, and no dealer markups to the money factor, I think you'd be somewhere around $25K for a single-pay lease.

    And, have you done any "real" shopping, or are you just collecting numbers to fill out a spreadsheet? You should take some test drives to find out what really appeals to you. Scoring a great lease deal on a car you don't like doesn't make much sense.

    We don't have any information for the "2020.25" model year. I wouldn't think it would be any different than the 2020, at this point.

    Yeah, thanks - just been tracking it to see the curve. Hoping it stays .00112 MF and 63% residual or better for around that time frame. Might end up being end of October that I close the deal. Who knows - I'm at the dealer/factory's mercy.

    I think I'm leaning towards the C as well.
    I have one now and would like to upgrade form sedan to coupe, but not sure I can justify the price difference.
    The Evoque and Tesla 3 intrigued me. Still no leasing info on that one, right?

    No info on the Tesla. They have a fixed price model.

    The C-Class coupes are pricey to lease, compared to the sedan.
