I just want to make sure I understand the lease agreement. Hypothetically speaking, if the MSRP is $35,000 and the sale price is $30,000 we still multiply the residual by the MSRP, correct?

If that's the case then what is the point of the sale price if the residual value is always a percentage of the MSRP.

So at the end of the lease term, I can purchase the car for the $21,350 making the sale price irrelevant because this is the residual value from the MSRP, not the sale price. Maybe I'm not understanding something?

Your lease payment is based on the difference between sale price and residual.
Since the residual is fixed, then a lower sale price will result in a lower payment.

They both have the same lease program. $53/mo. more seems excessive.

Of course, the deal is worse on the Tech pkg. A lot smaller discount than the lower priced EX. That doesn't make sense.
