I'm a leasing newbie. I'm in 97520 and wondering what sort of final leases people are seeing for 2020 LT leases in Oregon.

The one I'm looking at has several options that brings the MSRP to $39,995. With incentives and all fees and licensing wrapped in, I can get 36mo/10kmiles for $185/month. At .00012 it doesn't make sense to one pay.

The dealer has 23, 15 2021s and 8 2020s and we're in a small area. Given that, am I being greedy to try to push the monthly lower? How would I do that? I was thinking of asking them to cut $1000 off of MSRP. That would put the monthly in the $150 range which seems to be close to being in line with the best leases outside of SF.

You can ask for whatever you think is reasonable. Up to the dealer to accept, reject or counter.

I proposed they knock $1000 off of MSRP. That'll still keep them above water, get a 2020 off the lot, and get me at about $5500. I'm pretty sure they'll go with that. It seems like a pretty good deal outside of SF.

I'd agree that you are getting a puny discount from sticker.

But, as inventory dwindles, dealers get the advantage.

Have you shopped multiple dealers, to ensure this is the best you can do?

Recently Completed a GM repurchase on my 2019 Bolt (battery recall) and within a week made my deal on a leftover 2020 Bolt Premier. Probably should have stuck to another LT for the better 'deal' but one had already fallen through and no others close by with necessary options/colors (gotta have those heated seats/steering and a good color).
On to the deal!

Also, the car is a demo, the dealer is trying to say the 2,000 miles on the car already counted towards the mileage of my lease and they've raised the MF higher than 0.00012 and are saying it's "regional"

I'm pretty sure you'll get 30,000 miles for the lease term.

BUT - the residual will be reduced to account for those existing miles.

The dealer can say whatever they want, but the MF markup is pure greed.

Absolutely horrible and from my experience Classics is the worst in the whole DFW metro. They don't discount, mark up MF then charge $600 accessories which is total dealer rip-off. Stay away from them. I've got $6000-7000 one-pay for an Premier so you want target towards those. I'd say anything <$150 is good and anything <$120 you want to sign and run. Also ask for sales tax incentives which lowers the sales tax to 1.25%, big deal maker in TX since stupid TX laws require tax on full selling price.

Look up '21 as well, they have less incentives but the RV is about 3% higher so that makes up some.
A suggestion on negotiating strategy. Don't let dealers send you quotes, you send your offers based on information you get here. Dealer will only send you offers that benefit them the most, not you.
