    Not sure if I’ve got the right forum for this but looking for some advice:

    I am coming to the end of my lease on an Acura ILX 2018 - my monthly payments are $272 including tax. The lease ends in March 2021 and current payoff amount is $16,780. The car has less than 16,000 miles on it and is in very good condition outside of 1 paint chip and scratch on the mirror. I am based in the Bay Area (zip code 94110).

    I want to lease another ILX but am trying to decide whether I should do the normal lease return and lease a new car or if there might be a way to trade in the vehicle to the dealer (to reduce my cap cost). I just looked up the price on Vroom and Shift and think I can sell it to them for $18,000 (so I would net a little more than $1k). Not sure if it makes sense to do that and just pocket the $1k?

    Looking for advice on what path to take here and appreciate all thoughts.

    Cool, thanks - will do. If the online guys are not a viable option, is there such a thing as a trade in for this situation? Since the car is well under the mileage allowance, I figure there is some value there.

    Cool, thanks - will do. If the online guys are not a viable option, is there such a thing as a trade in for this situation? Since the car is well under the mileage allowance, I figure there is some value there.
    It's possible. But, you'll have to find a dealer who wants to do it.

    Acura has a program, where they roll unused mileage into your next lease. So, that you can take the minimum mileage allowance on the next one. Of course, if you are only driving 5K miles/yr, that won't help you any. I would certainly sell the car to clear $1000, rather than just turning it in.

    But, if I'm leasing for $272/mo, and my lease ends in March, I wouldn't be in any hurry.
