2021 MINI Lease Deals and Prices

This may be a basic question but want to ask since I am still learning about leasing - Why would the residual % for 36 months be more than 24 months? In case of Cooper S Nov numbers, it was 62% for 36 and 58% for 24. Should not the car be worth more after 2 yrs? i.e. residual value greater for 24? Am I missing something?

It wouldn't be.. it's the other way around.

And, the MSRP is much higher on the S, depending on how many options it has.
