I was thinking of replacing the small spare tire in my 2007 CR-V AWD with a full size tire. Will it fit under the floor and still allow you to put the floor cover over it or is it too big?
I am new to this site and i posted for some advise. Don't think i got any, or i don't know how to find it. So, here goes again. I have been quoted $29,476 for an '07 Avalon XLS. Is this a decent price. The Invoice is mid 32K, which invoice should be the same for base XLS. Someone please help me.
My Haynes manual is not specific to my particular engine, so it doesn't show the location. Can anyone tell me where this sensor is located, or point me to a free online website that would contain engine specs or diagrams of the 1988 3800 V6 engine??? Thanx!!
Is there any forum on Edmunds that can give me advice on what I should do about the 36,000 mile lease that I am in that ends Dec 30, 2007 of which I am at 35,550 miles now? Do I pay the $1578 to get out of the lease before I go over the miles or pay the $.20 per mile fee and end up paying $1000 when I turn it in for the extra miles?
I am about to replace the AC Compressor in my 2001 Hondar CR-V for the second time - another $1200+ dollars. I am at about 120,000 miles. Based on previous postings it appears I have nothing to lose by contacting Honda. Except for this problme, I have been very happy with the car. I just wish I had done my homework after replacing the compressor the first time.
It'd be worth opening a case with Honda and seeing what they could do for you. Please post in the CR-V AC Compressor Issues and get some advise on how to approach the dealer and Honda, and good luck!

Hi: I live in Brandon Manitoba Canada. Does anyone know where one can purchase a new Chrysler 300 in North or South Dakota or Minnesota to a Canadian. Thanks Bob
My wife remote started our Camry 2006 and upon entering the car hit the brake before putting the key in. That shut down the car completely. The security system was factory installed. Now we can't find a way to start the car.
Now when I try to remote start the car, the lights flashes and for a few minutes the battery comes alive, but then everything shuts down again. I get the same results with the key in the ignition. Strangely, even after I remove the key and close the door, I can hear a strange purring sound of the starter from the outside.
Nothing that's electrical on that vehicle works right now, including the door locks.
The car dealer wants me to spend $150 to tow the car, which I know will take the dealer 30 seconds to fix. They don't want to offer me any advice over the phone on how I can revive the car for obvious reasons.
If there's anybody out there that can offer me some simple advice about how I can revive the car I would really be grateful. I don't think there is anything wrong with the electrical system. My gut feeling tells me that somehow we need to kick start the security key system and there must be a simple method involving a few key combinations that will bring the car out of its stupor.
I have Civic LX automatic with 72,000 miles. The cur just stopped while on Freeway. The engine would rev the RPM would go beyond 4000 but it would not move. After towing and checking with the mechanic I was told the transmission is shot and will need replacement. The Honda Dealer I called is charging around $3500 What I do not understand is why the transmission gave up with only 72K miles. This is 2001 Civic with VIN 2HGES16541H593143
Did their 2000 Civic transmission problems were seen on later year cars also?
could anyone tell me what the name of this part is the bottom radiator hose goes to it and the heater core hoses go to it. IT'S A 1989 HONDA ACCORD LXI IF YOU COULD HELP ME THAT WOULD BE GREAT
I currently have a 99 Camry which I like but will be replacing it sometime around 2008 or 2009 and buying another used vehicle, about 2 years old so I'd be looking for a 2006-2007 vintage vehicle. Does anyone know if any manufacturers make a reasonably priced 4 door passenger sedan (say $15,000 or so when 2 or 3 years old) that has an instant-on heater? It seems like a simple thing to just put an electric element in the heater system that would come on when you turn the heat on just after you start the car in cold weather. As the engine temperature rises the heating system could transition from the electric element to the engine heat. I know some people are going to say that electric seats accomplish this and I suppose I'd be willing to try that out (I've never had them) but does anyone know if the instant heat thing is on any vehicles?
I have a 2002 Dodge Intrepid and the check engine light keeps coming on for almost about a week and a half, it goes on then after a bit it will go off. Now I am having problems starting my car some time I have to wait about 5 mins before I can start may car? Help.
A/C in my '98 S70 Volvo blows cold air for about 10 minutes then turns to regular uncooled air. Fan stays on. If I turn the system off for a minute or two then turn back on, cooled air comes back. Seems like a bad compressor would NOT produce any cold air? Is there a thermostat control, or temperature sensor, etc. that needs to be replaced? Any advice on what is causing this or how to trouble shoot.. greatly appreciated!
Hello, I have a 1995 Honda Odyssey EX, 113,000 miles, after a recent 500 mile trip I have noticed that my car turns off when idle. In the mornings it starts easy, its fine when it idles, but as the day progresses and it gets hotter out, the car has difficulty starting. And when it does start, it tends to turn off when idle. Any ideas? Any help out there? Thank you!
I am thinking about purchasing a 1996 Eagle Vision, but I am aware that it has a blown head gasket. Does anyone have an approximate idea of how much it would cost to repair this problem?
Here are a list of my troubles ,odometer light is out, gas gauge light is out ,cruise control is out. I checked the fuses cruise control was the only bad one. I replaced it still no cruise control. I had the truck checked out at the shop, They thought it was the ignition switch replaced it ($167). still no cruise or other gauge lights I mention earlier. the oil & water lights work just fine. Help Please
Hi. I am a poor, broke college student. I've been so stressed this past year that I neglected to change my car oil for a year(yes, I am regretting it big time). Today, as I was driving in the hot weather(90 plus in Sacramento) and came up to a stop light, my car starting shaking like it was going to die. I drove it about 3 blocks and turned it off for about an hour. When I checked the oil, it was totally empty. I drove it another few blocks to buy oil and refilled it but it continues to shake and the check engine light has come on. I've left it at a friend's. Did I totally mess up my engine? I hope not, because I can't afford to buy a car right now. What could be wrong with it? Thanks.
Hello, I am having starter problems with my 2001 kia sephia. Originally, I had run out of gas and pulled over to the side of the road while I waited for help. At the gas station, got two gallons, and put them in my car. When I went to start it, I was able to reve the engine two or three times and then it died. After that, we were unable to get the engine to catch. It would catch for just a split second and then just turn over. We tried several different methods, but with no success. In the end, we figured that it might be a fuel pump problem. What can I do to check and see if it is in fact a fuel pump problem, and if it turns out that it is, what can I do to try and fix it with out having to go to a mechanic? Where is the fuel switch located? Will letting it sit over night help? Should I pump the gas peddle when turning it over? Thank you so much, I really appreciate the help. With out my car, I may loose my job so the faster you can respond the better! Thanks again!! Bizzle
