I live in Brandon Manitoba Canada. Does anyone know where one can purchase a new Chrysler 300 in North or South Dakota or Minnesota to a Canadian.
Thanks
Bob
Now when I try to remote start the car, the lights flashes and for a few minutes the battery comes alive, but then everything shuts down again. I get the same results with the key in the ignition. Strangely, even after I remove the key and close the door, I can hear a strange purring sound of the starter from the outside.
Nothing that's electrical on that vehicle works right now, including the door locks.
The car dealer wants me to spend $150 to tow the car, which I know will take the dealer 30 seconds to fix. They don't want to offer me any advice over the phone on how I can revive the car for obvious reasons.
If there's anybody out there that can offer me some simple advice about how I can revive the car I would really be grateful. I don't think there is anything wrong with the electrical system. My gut feeling tells me that somehow we need to kick start the security key system and there must be a simple method involving a few key combinations that will bring the car out of its stupor.
After towing and checking with the mechanic I was told the transmission is shot and will need replacement. The Honda Dealer I called is charging around $3500
What I do not understand is why the transmission gave up with only 72K miles.
This is 2001 Civic with VIN 2HGES16541H593143
Did their 2000 Civic transmission problems were seen on later year cars also?

You might also want to try the Got a Quick, Technical Question? discussion.
So we'll see you at the Tuesday chat next week then?
This was my first week back after a while, so I wasn't dure if chats were still done.
Thanks!

I am having starter problems with my 2001 kia sephia. Originally, I had run out of gas and pulled over to the side of the road while I waited for help. At the gas station, got two gallons, and put them in my car. When I went to start it, I was able to reve the engine two or three times and then it died. After that, we were unable to get the engine to catch. It would catch for just a split second and then just turn over. We tried several different methods, but with no success. In the end, we figured that it might be a fuel pump problem. What can I do to check and see if it is in fact a fuel pump problem, and if it turns out that it is, what can I do to try and fix it with out having to go to a mechanic? Where is the fuel switch located? Will letting it sit over night help? Should I pump the gas peddle when turning it over? Thank you so much, I really appreciate the help. With out my car, I may loose my job so the faster you can respond the better! Thanks again!!
