    Looking to lease 2021 Lexus RX 350 premium
    would like MF (tier 1) and residuals on 36/10 and 36/12
    looks like 1,000 lease loyaty and 1,500 lease or customer cash avaible.
    Initial MF quote is .00143 but that looks high to other states on forum.

    Thanks for the RV in MF for the 2021 RX 350 FWD 36/10. Zip code 77027 with $1500 lease cash and $1000 loyalty cash.
    The one we negotiated on msrp of $51650
    Discounted by $3800 plus $2500 incentives
    $1600 in fees including only 1% tax ( 6.25 in Tx )
    $45350 final cap reduction. We rolled all fees into the monthly payment.
    However, if I were to utilize a RV of 58% and a money factor of .0006 my number came out appox $50 less per month.
    My question is, does the dealer have to follow the residual value and the money factor that is utilized by Lexus financial services, or is that the max RV LFS will allow and the min MF it requires for LFS to finance the lease. Thereby the amount the dealer makes is $50x 36 mo= $1800, besides the annual bonuses for volume, etc.
    Please advise.

    Assuming the math is correct, it is possible the dealer marked up the money factor for extra profit.
    They may not alter the residual.

    Ask them for the money factor used.

    Thanks for the confirming that the residual value can not be changed by the dealer, but the dealer can use a higher money factor for profit.
    Is the dealer compelled to give the MF it used to the consumer in this transaction?

    No, but the lease contract will have a total finance charge (aka Rent Charge) on it, that you can reverse engineer to check the money factor.

    You can insist on any info you want, however.

    Finished lease deal yesterday 2021 rx350 awd 10%. 00040 mf. money factor almost killed the deal. Dealer quoted .0009 tier 1 and when I told him he was wrong he said it’s correct unless his manger was lying to him. After I walked I was told .00055 to which I refused. They asked where I was getting my facts and when I told them I received an email that .00040 was tier 1 plus plus. I closed the deal but was slightly irritated due to amount of business I’ve given over the years and how the mf game on their end is getting more aggressive than a few years ago. I’m guessing there is no such thing as tier 1 plus and plus plus and it’s just something this dealership does to mark up mf most of the time and still say your getting tier 1? Thanks!

    Tier 1 Plus and Tier 1 are only .00010 different.

    They were marking up the MF for extra profit, and didn't want to admit it.
