Since I know that the money factor is .00061 and the residual is 64%, can’t the math work backwards saying that if I pay 610 x 36 months, add the depreciation, add the residual and add the $3000 down payment equals Cap Cost?

Monthly Tax @ 8.75% = $49.80 x 36mo = $1,792.80
Money Factor = .00061 = 1.46%
Total of 36 payments of $619 = $22,284.00
Total Cost To Own After Lease(65%) = $39,110.00
Total Cap Cost = Depreciation + Residual = $57,479.92

You have to know the adjusted CAP for the rest of your calculations to be valid.
NYS doesn't tax the payment monthly. The full amount is Due upfront. Either paid upfront, or rolled into the CAP, and subject to the money factor.

You can make assumptions, but why do that? Just ask them for the actual numbers. And, if you aren't getting any sort of discount, other than GM paid incentives, then you should shop around.

No incentives

You'll get a lower payment for 39 months, but you'll be on the hook for a full year of registration (if that's how your state works). Plus, you'll be out of warranty (I think), and there is a slightly higher risk of having to pay for consumables (tires, brakes, etc.).

Every dealer is different. Some may be more willing to make an end of the month deal to hit a volume quota.
