Thanks again, Michael! I’m dealing with a dealership that said the numbers changed for the SEL and Limited AWD for 2022 now that it’s Jan 1. Is that true?

They are saying .00167 and 63% on SEL.

No. New Hyundai programs will be released next Tuesday.

Until then, the December numbers are still in effect.

Thanks! So the general sales manager is telling me in Philadelphia, PA there is a 6% state tax and a 2% Philadelphia city tax which is correct. 8% sum. He’s then saying there is an additional 3% lease tax. He is saying totaling 11%. Is this correct?

Yes, that is correct. Dealers don't fudge the tax information, when negotiating.

Ok makes sense. He’s also saying when I do the math for residual, I need to use the msrp and not the adjusted msrp. Is this correct? I was using the adjusted and not the msrp.

That's correct, and you want to do that anyway since it equates to a lower payment. Taxes should be based off adjusted cap

Bottom line number of the factory window sticker is what's used for payment calculations.

Did the residuals really drop 4 or 5 points in the last couple of weeks? And the MF for FWD was around .00050, did that increase dramatically as well?

No, 2022. I haven't seen MF and residual different in different states, only incentives, so that must be it. Thanks
